How to you protect or display your collection?

I’m a simple guy 😎 Graded or Raw I sleeved them all ✌🏼

For me, nothing can beat a binder. It's really satisfying to just flip through your pages and admire your collection that way. Especially when you got some cohesive collection where each page "makes sense" and isn't just random cards. You can also always easily take the cards outside the sleeve for a second if you want to see the details in their full glory again which you unfortunately can't do with slabs. That's why I kinda dislike slabbed cards since it makes the card feel more distant so to speak. There are also toploader binders if you feel like a normal binder isn't safe enough but in my experience just a regular zip side pocket binder + some sleeve is more than enough protection. The only thing that can really "damage" the cards like that is moisture (warp them but you can always fix this and it doesn't effect the grade anyways) but the moisture problems applies to any cards regardless of if they are free in the wild, in a binder or even slabbed since the slabs are not airtight. You just won't notice them getting warped since they are stuck inside the slab. Some silica gel can always help out with this though.

One small thing I would add. If you see a kind of protection that you really like the way it looks. Don’t go all in on them for your first purchase. Start small and try them out. Make sure you like them. It may not display the way you think or work out the way you thought. Personally in the last two years, I’ve went through several different brands and kinds of binders, sleeves and even top loaders.

Toploaders, stashed in etbs. My card dont stay with me long. I typically send them off for grading once i have over 30 cards and sell them immediately very slightly under msrp. I tell myself that someone else will appreciate it more and I need the revenue🎉😢

great video and you were really comprehensive covering all the options. I collect PSA but have similar concerns about the edges of the card possibly getting slightly damaged in the long run due to the slight movement in the case. There's a double edged sword with having cards in sleeves within the plastic case, since the cards are better protected (peace of mind), but it definitely reduces the visual appeal of the card by having 2 layers of plastic covering it instead of one

I like the raybae in the Beckett case the silver label looks nice with that card PSA would look nice with the gyarados though

What about binders? I use vaultx but I’ve heard ultra pros are better from some people and I’m not sure which one to buy big into

I stumbled upon phantom display randomly a few months ago and I love them. I have 2 Graded Guard editions for extra flair. Any cards I display outside of them I just use generic graded card display stands with the slabs in the sleeves!

Man I feel the same about the PSA fitting for cards so its nice to hear that BGS have accounted for that, how is CGC in that regard?

I just bought some plastic Kollector Protector booster box protectors. I wish Vaulted Vinyl did some cause I love their funko pop protectors, but trying this brand out. The more expensive acrylic protectors just take up too much room for the single amount of booster boxes I plan to hold.

Love ur vids bud. Also in my opinion u should move ur glass display case away from the window with ur theme decks in it. They will get sunfaded it takes awhile but it’ll happen.

My entire collection is ungraded. All double sleeved in 36 boulder clear 80+ deck boxes. Dragon shield and DS resealable inner sleeves. I have a whole wall

Im not a fan of displaying my cards because if anyone comes over for an special event, I wouldn’t trust them not to touch or take anything. Especially since during holidays theres a ton of kids and my parents like hosting the parties. I just keep my cards in sleeves and top loaders in tins. Currently got the raw cards I want to submit to psa in card savers.

I store all my cards in the cardboard box they came in. Then it goes into another cardboard box and that’s where it sits in ac all day long

Small comment, but I think the colored guards look lame with PSA’s red border in the label. Although a black one would probably be pretty sick for PSAs

Honestly who cared what happes to the slabs. Its plastic. Its like crying about your screen protector getting scratched. The begging for free stuff is cringe
