ordered a sampler from D4S and wanted to show some side by side comparisons with the 1/0 and 2/0 offerings. 🤔 From Superflexx 2/0, sky high car audio 2/0 to even welding wire, in this part 2 we are looking at how hard the different wire is to cut and the actual feel and look of the 2/0 OFC guts. I also share further on why I choose to not recommend CCA wire to my bros.

Welding wire is always compacted more than car audio wire its held to a higher standard to keep the heat lower and is always pure copper no bs with it.

I just got me some lime green 2/0 welding wires. 26+ feet for $99 for OFC pure copper. CCA is not good and Sky High is my favorite💯

Towards the end of the vid u said you needed to order more wire or were gonna be needing more wire for you're current build I was jus wondering if you ended up getting more & if so what'd u get?

Skin effect does not pertain to VDC. Welding wire is less strands which will make it appear significantly smaller. It is also the only one that needs to be certified so it is 1/0 by measurement. What you are seeing more of with the others is air gap, the more strands the more air space as the strands are not square and the cross sectional area of wire is measured as 1 solid core copper wire. I appreciate the actual facts you did ay and write about CCA, properly rating and proper terminations and you'll be fine. Closed lugs and adhesive lined heatshrink always when exposed to the elements and heat. However this should be applied to both ofc and cca.

What's the difference between 1/0 oversized and true 2/0 wire size? I have a audiopipe apmi2k that takes 1/0 but true 1/0 welding cable is noticeably small in the amp
