I could have used this message in the mid-80s when I was in my 20s. I tried getting sober multiple times for personal reasons. Any troubles I've experienced in my life have always been revolved around alcohol. Anyway, my dad would always tell me that it's okay just to have one. Go ahead and have a beer, son. It's okay. My parents were both alcoholics too. If I had your message 35 years ago my life would have been completely different. Oh well. Your message hits home. Thank you.

Great message Kyle! Yes when I reflect back on the ups & downs of my life... toxic family, “friends” & relationships were always the culprit for pulling me down...

Thank you Kyle. The timing for this video in the last few hours is eerily accurate and much needed tonight ❤️🙏😊

Hey Kyle, I just happened to choose one of your other videos tonight and it was the one describing why AA was not for you. I agree with so much of it and for30+ years I have been in and out of AA, mostly because people kept telling me that I needed that fellowship. Since I kept slipping, I listened to them. Long story short: I am much more a person like you that is busy and I really enjoy going to the gym, such a great stress reliever. I didn’t mind speaking and sharing with the group, but it became quite depressing after a while hearing people say how every day was a struggle for them and they would not have a life if they did not have AA. I did learn a lot and now I do positive things that I enjoy mostly centered around health. As soon as I watched your first video that I had picked, I subscribed to you right away and I will be watching all of your past videos and look forward to more in the future. I’m sorry this reply doesn’t totally correlate with this video however what you are talking about I have done and have had to distance myself from some good friends because they were heavy drinkers and or alcoholics in denial. Probably more of the latter. The thing you did most for me was validate that I am not the only one out there that has similar thoughts as yours. AA would call me on things and say “what do you think you are unique.” Well of course I am not unique when it comes to addiction but as your videos will probably teach me is that we are all unique in our own way. Keep up the good work good luck with the book and I love your tats. Thanks again.

Congratulations to you, my nephew sent me one of your older videos, he is a recovering opioid and heroin addict and is going to use it in a presentation in his recovery program. Just wanted to let you know that you are making a difference, thank you. I am 13 years sober this past October 18th And my life gets better every day. Keep fighting the good fight and passing on the good words of sobriety.

Hi Kyle! I ran into your "one year"video..and instantly I could relate. I'm 41, educated, successful and yet wtf! I've been struggling for 10 years now. AA is definitely not me for exactly the same reason you cited in that video. I think to your point, you need to remove highly toxic people BUT most importantly you need to want it...you need to decide.

AA did not work for me either. I have had sponsors try to put me down to feed there ego. I dont understand the logic saying everything that happens good is because of the program and everything bad that happens is because of me. I dont agree with that and their philosophy. I am also 41

You are so grounded Kyle, good for you! Your presentation is so good too. All sorts of opportunities will come to you, quite naturally, to help more people and give them the benefit of your experience.

Thanks Kyle you started my journey with your raw honesty and self work. I still remember seeing your first video and thinking no way will this guy make it then finding the two year sober video and finally believing change is possible.
