Let It Be - The Beatles (Cover by Emily - Thomas - and Christian Linge) 

✨⭐⭐ *A Totally Talented Trio!* ⭐⭐✨ _(Mini-review)..._ Hi Emily! What an awesome surprise it was to get this video; with not only The Beatles "Let It Be"; but with your much loved brothers Thomas and Christian! 😊 This was one of my requests from long ago, so what a delight to get this just before Christmas! There is so much talent in the Linge family, that this cover is going to be a winner!! 🏆 Visually the setting is terrific with a great studio atmosphere. The lighting is interesting as you have a reddish glow reflecting from you (first noticeable at 0:27); that changes to amber gold, over on the drums with Christian. The setting is also casual, with a happy vibe that's emanating from you all. There has been a lot of work in the recording setup; especially with the miking up of the drums, 🥁 with even the effort to dampen them to get the sound right! (Ringo used to do that!). So there's commendations in that department! Bravo! 👍 The audio is excellently recorded with a bright stereo sound of the grand piano! 🎹 Your vocals are as irresistible as ever! It's not until 1:22 when the band come in, do we get to appreciate the superb mix blended by Elvis Garagic! 🔊 🎧 From the famous piano intro to set up the theme; you start at 0:13; ♫ "When I find myself in times of trouble"♪. Already we're singing along with you! 🎤 You even have the lyrics up in the video description! 🎼🎼 Then there's a nice close-up at 0:27 as you sing; ♫ "And in my hour of darkness"♪. At 0:41 the mood is set emotionally with the; ♫ "ooh's"♪; from Christian and Thomas! ♫ "Let it be, ooh"♪. You noticeably hit the octave high note at 0:42 with; "♫ "Let it be, Let it bE~"♪. The ♫ "ooh's"♪; are done perfectly! 🤗 Then we see Christian hit the hi-hat on every third beat. Plus we see a gem of a moment at 0:58, as you all give recognition to each other, when you sing; ♫ "Living in the world agree"♪. 🎥 Nice videography close-up edits at 1:05; as we see Thomas on Hofner bass (Paul McCartney's favorite); and then Christian at 1:08 with a cool beard! (Maybe he should have sung lead like Paul McCartney!!) [cheese grin] Then it's back to you with; ♫ "For though they may be parted"♪. Now at 1:21, the band come in with a snare roll, as you glance at Christian and sing; ♫ "Let be, Let it be~~"♪. Having the bass guitar 🎸 gives so much depth and the recording sounds terrific! 👍 There's a nice close-up again of Christian at 1:52 doing the drum roll and then a big smile at the camera at 1:54. 🙂 It would have been super-cool at this point of the song, to see Mum Christine do the guitar solo!! 🎸😎 (or maybe a video overlay of Christian or Thomas playing it). However being a live performance; your arrangement works very well, as you sing the chorus again; ♫ "Let be, Let it be~"♪. 🎹🎙 At 2:11 we hear Christian do the drum-roll arrangement; which is the version on The Beatles LP album. 🥁 We are in for a treat at 3:05 with a nice close-up of you on piano. 🎹 With the help of Ovidio De Ferrari; the piano solo is a brilliant arrangement. It sticks to the melody theme of the song, plus it seems a bit of George Harrison's guitar solo! It's very clever indeed! 👏👏 Also your playing is impeccable; just like your singing is! You then finish off the song beautifully on the piano! Sounds superb!! We missed your smile at 3:52! 😁 (though there is a glimpse of it, as you look over to your brothers as the video fades!) _In conclusion..._ It's great to see you get the opportunity with your brothers to do this classic song! Everything gels so well together and it's a real "happy vibe" performance! You all play well delivering a splendid video presentation! 😊 The song arrangement also works excellently in your special rendition here. *Another stellar performance!* 👏 👏 You are a great band!! _Q: Any chance you might do another jam on Instagram?_ 😃

Emily, every time you cover a song written by Paul McCartney, sing his lyrics and reinterpret his melodies and harmonies on that beautiful piano, you, of course, demonstrate your own precious talent. In addition, you continue to demonstrate to the world that Sir Paul was and is one of the finest songwriters in the history of music. Thank you for being an ambassador from him to later generations.

What I admire most about Emily is not her lucid tone, naturalness, or the way her wonderful personality comes across in everything she sings, but rather her musical and technical maturity. Few singers, especially at her age, have both solid vocal fundamentals (I've never heard her strain or oversing) and the musical taste to use just the right vocal coordination called for by the particular song or part thereof. It's lovely to hear her effortlessly add just the right touch of brilliance, vibrato, rubato, or ornamentation. You are truly remarkable. I sense that you will have a very special career and a very special life. Your family is so lucky to have you, and we are so fortunate to be able to witness the birth of a star. P.S.
