Freja has been listening to singing Let It Go from the Disney movie, Frozen, for months. For fun and also because I miss performing for you, I decided to cover Let It Go from Frozen for all of you! Let It Go has been stuck in my head for months, so now it's your turn. ;)
We added a bit of a rock & metal sound to it and gave it a bit of our own twist!

@@js0988 I find the vocals are a tad low in the mix, but they would have done this via the net as the band will be locked down too. There is no dispute whatsoever she sang it, but the video is a semi mime perhaps just to make the video in the first place, so perhaps that hugely expensive AKG isn't actually doing anything as we are seeing it here.

@@js0988 Remember this is being done from her home studio and what she has available and not a full on professional studio with all the top of the line equipment. This is put together completely online due to obvious lockdowns due to Covid. So for the first home recorded/mixed video she has done singing it is not to damn bad.

Floor just did this song because her daughter has been singing it for months - and she therefore wants to share this with us her fans - thank you Floor - we are now also haunted... And I believe it is filmed in her homestudio - but not sure She is incredible 👍🤘- Floor always becomes the song she performs - her whole body are performing. Floor doing Floor things 👍👌🤘🤘

The background is too blurred to see it, but her studio is furnished in the same style. These are not found that often in Europe.

If you take a closer look at the shots with the lower camera positions looking a bit upward you see there is a sort of attick above the brown wooden wall. I may be mistaken but I think we see some of Hannes' drumkits stored there.

Floor always has the best emotional expression 😊 Just imagine all the other songs she sings for little Freya 😉 BTW, my 8yo daughter LOVED this & always wants Nightwish on the stereo in my car 😁 And FYI Illumishade (a couple members are also in Eluveitie) recently did an AMAZING video for their cover of Into the Unknown from Frozen II 🤘😎🎸

The Illumishade cover of "Into the Unknown" with Fabiennes voice is great, though I've never heard the original before (like "Let it go", I am not that much into Disney movies). Maybe we just saw the birth of a new subgenre : Disney Metal? Sadly there will never be a whole Disney Metal Soundtrack to one of these films.

Hey guys. Well for what it's worth, I sent Floor a message about a month or so ago suggesting she do some work with Disney on a voice over where she would get to sing. Planted the seed, all I could do. Also, in her announcement about the cover, she mentioned that the reason she chose that one as her first is because her daughter had been listening to it for months so it was pretty much burned into her brain. lmao Great reaction! I would guess this is Floor and Hannes Van Dahl's home studio. It some of her interviews on their farm there is another building in the background. Floor is already on one soundtrack. Sound of Wind from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

I've always found the acting while singing really helps find that emotion so I can put it into the song. Especially when from a musical. The deeper you can feel the character the better you can express it through your voice.
