@Philip Arvanitidis na actually clem is the loser cause she is pretty much useless in a fight now and is also 1 step ahead from dying (get it? step?), so no i wouldnt say that clem is not the loser in this
BILCARTON lee’s bite hadn’t been cut off until hours after he had Been bit that’s why it didn’t work for him, Clem’s was about like Reggie’s from season 2 he got his arm cut off soon after he got bit so the virus didn’t have enough time to spread also with the massive cut on her leg the bite wasn’t able to effect her as fast
Or even better "Your dad would be ashamed of you!" "Gotta be just like your daddy, a piece of shit who nobody will mourn" "At least Lee died for something, your father died like the rat bastard he was!"
I don't think Clementine ever found that out. Lee nor the others told her that. Sure, she might be able to come to that conclusion, but there was never an instance that she was told that Ben screwed up.
@@Polomance862 It could depend on whether she was at Crawford to hear Ben confess or not. I usually just assume she knows...maybe Christa and Omid mentioned it during the long time they were with her
Agreed. That's the main thing I was a bit let down by I figured it'd be an epic final showdown with her if she were alive for Ep 4 but it's just one little scene and that's it.
@@BBTM951 ateast for me this episode was rushed also it was like other episodes whereas atleast I know that the final episode of season 2 was longer than this episode and that totally SUCKS
I mean she is getting free ammo, plus she's the truth, she is wasting ammo with that awful aim. Stormtroopers could hit her--if anything. She's stating and throwing (common intelligence/forewarning her) comebacks. It's the most intelligent thing's she said
Da Duh Dingus I’d say it’s more Cutscene Incompetence. Clem’s a badass with a bow, but in this scene, she sucks balls at it. The raft isn’t moving fast enough to justify these misses.
Lily is such a hypocrite in this conversation "It's not evil if you fight for what you love" then she says "Friends and love don't last." There's no reason to even try to shoot Lily, she deserves to fall victim to herself.
@@princessroxyvincenzo5602 Sure but that's only because she lived longer. But you are right, Larry at least didn't get others killed. It's true what they say, you either die a hero or live to be the villan.
Seeing Lilly's reactions to all the more savage lines is lowkey sad. Like she seems genuinely upset to have made Clementine an enemy. I actually kinda feel bad for her and I'm glad she's just riding off into the sunset.
I said good luck, you may not like her but she’s from the original season, I try to keep them alive as much as I can. If you think about it, in my story Kenny and Lilly both lived, maybe they’ll run into each other😂😂😂
@@144phd8 at the time of season 2 about 80% of players chose to go to Wellington with aj. After they found out Kenny was in season 3 they changed they're decisions so they could get kenny
In-Universe I feel like killing Lily IS the right thing to do. Sure, James will be mad, but Lily is petty and spiteful. She will just come back one day, with more troops.
I highly doubt it. As evil as she’s been this season there are still remnants of the old her deep down. When she recognizes Clementine in the woods, at the boarding school when she couldn’t shoot Clem and in this scene, you see it the most. She’s definitely not coming back to harm Clem in any way. Clem freakin spared her life it’s clear in this scene that it’s just over.
I love how Lily is a foil to Clem. Clem found a home that she and AJ can be happy in, and it'll last as long as they work hard to keep it afloat. While Lily believed that nothing ever lasts and its doomed to fall apart, she'll probably be alone forever, sure she is surviving but she ain't living. I loved this finale so much, I'm seriously considering if this better than season 1.
Better than season 1? Are you serious? This season is terrible because the theme of the series is about survival. This season is so childist like "Home Alone" with some teenager kids defending their home, some teenager love story bullshit, the character development was terrible and the storyline was weak. Season 1 on the other hands was more mature, characters had to fight and struggled really hard to survive. Every single day in season 1 is about survival, conflicts within the group is the real threat and the constant attacks from the outsider, from the walkers make season 4 like a kid show. The character development in season 1 was thousand times better than this season, all of them were memorable and have their own personalities. And they ruined Lilly personality completely in this season.
@@blazefatal4848 I don't know man, it's probably one of the best written stories to come out in media in over the last 3 years or so. I'm personally fine with the setting and think the character development rhymes well with the first season but I think my main disagreement with you is holding Season 1 up on a pedestal in comparison to this game. Season 1 was good but wasn't a masterpiece. The "outsider" was shoehorned as a villain, and while it was interesting to hear a critical voice of in-game decisions, don't hold him up as an interesting antagonist. Episodes 1,2, and 5 were objectively good but 3-4 were incredibly tedious. Characters came and went, the only ones that had any meaningful development was Clementine and Kenny, possibly Ben and while it contained good ideas of its own, it sacrificed story in exchange for constant novelty. One of the reasons most people like 2nd episode in Season 1 the most is because you had a community to manage, time to learn and grow with them, and a place to go back to after dealing with the B.S. at the dairy farm. It was paced well. Season 4 is just as good if not better in that you really feel tied to a location, a community and the story flows incredibly well plus or minus a few areas. I'm sorry that you hated the fact that everyone involved are teens or younger as the main community, but I feel that's your main reason for hating the game. Season 1 was about train hopping to the coast (in some cases literally) as some retard or retards fuck up all your plans. It was good, but it felt more frustrating at times in comparison. I'd be interested in hearing how you think they ruined Lily's personality. Sure she changed, but she acted more or less how she did in the 1st season. Maybe you feel she should have been more loyal to Clem or less eager to shoot at her, but her behaviour was always kind of unstable and self-serving. Look back to the whole reason Carly or Doug got shot to begin with.
@@blazefatal4848 i agree that season 4 isnt better than season 1 but i dont think that season 4 was bad i think it was good because you can see clem taking lees place taking care of aj honestly season 4 and 1 were sad seasons
mmm, I wouldnt say this season is per se "better" than season 1. while I like the idea that Clementine is practically Lee's prodigy, it just doesn't deliver that gut wretching original story; it just doesn't feel right without Lee. I literally ugly cry every time I play it
Lilly was a lost and broken woman. Maybe, like Clem and everyone else in the apocalypse, she went through a LOT of hell until she became a leader of the Delta. The apocalypse twisted her, and made her into a monster. She was a villain, but also a victim. I couldn't bring myself to kill her, even WITH those options. As much as I feel she deserved it, if anything, she deserves to live with this guilt. Like Negan in the show, she will hopefully finally realize the monster she became and hopefully redeem herself.
isolateddude She probably doesn’t since she is fighting for her community to survive. A community we haven’t exactly seen yet. She will do anything to make sure that it’s still standing. I wonder what that community is like if it’s making Lily want to defend it and turning Minerva into a monster who was seemingly a much better person before.
honestly i can't hate her, she's just a broken woman because of all the shit she's been through, before and after the apocalypse and that's just sad, i honestly hope she can find peace
I agreed, there are villains worst than Lily. Lily is a tragic villain who lost a dad, felt betrayed by one of her group members (Ben) who gave supplies to the bandits for "protection", and she became even more paranoid after she killed Carley/Doug in season 1. I hate how the developers rushed Lily character in season 4. I thought Clementine could either killed her or try to save Lily from herself, especially it would be nice to see if both Lily and James could survive if Clementine take the gun away from AJ's hands to help redeem Lily.
@@OrigamiRei951 Kinda like Abby from the last of us 2 when she lost her father and felt betrayed by her own friends as well for example like for killing Joel.
Lilly is probably the most tragic character in the game. From the very beginning, she had a father she could always rely on, but later Kenny took that away from her. The worst thing is that Kenny didn't try to apologize to Lilly for killing Larry, but just said "I did what needed to be done" and that was it. Even Lee, if he helps Kenny, apologize to Lilly. From that moment on, Lilly became completely different, she began to distrust some members of the group and Kenny only made the situation worse by trying to become a leader again and leave the motel. After Lilly kills Carly/Doug, Lee can leave her on the road, devastated and betrayed by everyone. specially if she kills Doug by accident What she became in season 4 did not surprise me at all. Lilly is an example of how the apocalypse turns broken people into evil, simply because no one help her deal with trauma. Lee can kill Duck for Kenny, but no one did it for Lilly. Her father was killed not out of mercy, but because survival is important. And if you spare Lilly in the end, then she would be alone again. There's no way she's going back to the Delta. Lilly is definitely alive if you spare her. She adapted to the new world pretty quickly, but after losing her father and the group's attitude towards her, it took her in the wrong direction..
Unpopular opinion: Lily and Carver were my favorite two villain characters of the entire series, almost two of my favorites in general. Carver and Lily teach important lessons. Their intentions are strong willed and the kind of mindset you NEED in order to survive the apocalypse. They knew when to make sacrifices, how to fight for their people, and how to fight for a community. Yeah, maybe Carver was brutal, and Lily was a little heartless. But it's how you stay alive. Clem has made some heartless choices that have gotten her this far. She's done brutal things to keep her alive. These two antagonists are just some of the best. They aren't wrong, but they aren't good at all.
But Lilly sunk to the lowest of lows though. She’s even more evil than Carver. Kidnapping, manipulating, and torturing children and going as far as trying to kill them? She kinda makes Carver look like the good guy “almost” imo. Not implying at all that he’s actually a good guy of course but hopefully I got my point across.... As much as I didn’t wanna kill Lilly and wanted a redemption arc, she just truly deserved to die.
@@abovethelaw4417 definitely. I liked the views he had. as much as clem or the players didn't like it, his way of survival was a good strategy. they just kept messing up for themselves. All that was really asked was behave, and you'll be put in a job, have somewhere to sleep, and food to eat.
@@TheScoun16 I liked the way she thought tho. She only wanted to protect her people and her home. Kidnapping was wrong. But she had a good view on it. Kids are easier to get on your side because they need safety and food when they can't do it all alone. Just like Carver, she really was only asking them to do a job, and they are well fed and taken care of. Telltale was so good at writing villains that they made it seem as if she was all bad for just good intentions in a messed up version of the world.
Am I the only one who liked her? She was one of my favourite character in season 1 and I was really happy to see her in season 4 again even as a villain. Its sad there was no opportunity to bring her back into the family.
Lily's writing in Episode 3 was terrible, completely out of character and I have no idea what was going on with the writers. That being said, I'm grateful the writers came back to their senses and gave her a proper farewell scene for Episode 4. She's arguably got the most depth out of any Telltale TWD character and that's why she's my favorite.
I really hoped Lilly was going to be more than just an antagonist with her showing that she didnt want to hurt clem in Episode 2, but it’s like they ignored that in the following episodes. I still love Lilly’s character, she’s one of my favorites from the series. I wish she had a bigger role in this episode, but her ending is fitting. She leaves an abandons her people by herself, just like how she left with the RV in season one if you kept her with you.
Make me so sad to see Lilly like that. I loved her with my all heart and now she just broken. I always do good things with her in season 1 and this season too 'cause she still my favorite character :(. . .
Clementine: “What was it that Lee said all those years ago? Oh yeah, you’re not coming with us...” Lilly: “But I’ll die Ou-“ *remembers the conversation* Clementine: *Scumbag smiles* “I don’t care.” Lily: *Triggered noises*
Dreckiger Dan yeah and I understand that but she’s still evil. She’s definitely not how she was S1 and I understand why but she definitely became a evil version of herself
I’m honestly shocked they didn’t let one of the arrows kill her. You’d think that after Season 2 where you can shoot Kent AFTER he kills Jane, that the devs would let you kill as many original characters as you could.
@@Ugh718: True but after season 2 where everything is over with and the game still lets you kill Kenny, I figured the game developers would be jumping at the opportunity to kill Lily because they just want to remove all the original characters.
@@shadowspector3611 I think it was their way of adding a couple of last determinant deaths. You can see some slight development in her character right at the end. She seems ashamed of herself based on all of her last responses/reactions towards Clementine. That or she realizes that she lost.
ThePrinceOfXing Indeed....it truly is good to see that out of all of the pure evil she’s done, there are still remnants of her old self deep down at least. I was shocked at that part honestly 😮
@Adina Maria they left the door open for a possible new series saying that Clementine group found another group and wanted to approach them, but Clem's story is over, she obviously can't do much anymore with just one leg so if there will be a sequel the new character will be AJ.
Even James has a rough conflict with Clementine (when Lilly was killed), this is why I prefer killing Lilly, and I don't regret it. She has no chance of changing, and she will live the rest of her life full of hate and being mean. James, on the other hand, has some part that he can change.
But james dies either way, if he defends us from walkers, the walkers still follow us meaning James got bit and turned into a walker either way. James would also abandon us and would be hostile towards us
Lilly become anti-hero to villain like I said screw her. If she would've cared for Clem, she wouldn't hurt her and not done some bad decisions but Lilly is lost after her father's death.
@@olivianystrom439 I legit have a crush on Violet. One of the very few times I was attached to a character that much. Probably of how cute and intimate she was and that she reminded me of myself.
I do. I see her as a tragic villain because I think she represents how the apocalypse can turn you into a monster even though before you were a caring person e.g the way she treated Clem in season 1. It’s why I let her live as I felt bad for her as she began to realise the evil she had done
What if there's a 5th episode (DLC) where you play as javi on richmond and you meet lilly/james and recruit one of them?, there's a lot to exploit with twd universe, so many characters with unknown fates: mike,arvo,molly,christa.... and more
@@ajxx9987 Yes. The end of Clementine and everybody who took part in her story. If there was to be more TWD. It would be a separate thing, a re-boot. Like Life Is Strange 2... And LIS 2 is awful. I don't want there to be more. It will ruin the uniqueness of TWD.
I'm betting Arvo's dead, he betrays you if you don't take his medicine so you can bet he'll try to screw over Mike and Bonnie, that is if Kenny didn't shoot Arvo on the spot, which I feel like he would have.
"Where's the rest of your squad?" "OK, so basically we went on that recruiting raid you ordered us to go on, and got BTFO by a gang of (mostly) unarmed teenagers, who then blew up our ship and left everyone but me to be eaten alive by walkers. Will you please let me back in?"
If the ending was supposed to have Clem and AJ live in a good place for a long time and if Lily is possibility reconsidering her life choices, then she could lied to the Delta about what happened to the kids which could keep them safe.
Da Duh Dingus What Lilly said about “nothing lasts, not friends, not love , not home “ is a fact in real life aswell because if u live long enough ur family, team, group etc will all die and u will be all alone
I don’t regret letting her leave. I liked her, despite how flawed she was. I think I could always relate to her in some way, but never quite understood why. At least not before.
That woman has so much hate in her heart, it’s ridiculous. Like, does she not feel regret for killing Carly or Doug anymore? Does losing her father for the group to survive make her not care about other lives? Either way, it seems like letting her live is a better option.
Low-key was hoping for a salty comment about how much Lily loved leading people/something about Kenny and Lee Such as: 'Enjoy your followers of boxes, *insult here*' 'At least you don't have to worry about Kenny fighting for power with you' 'Sucks that you don't have Lee to fix everything when everything goes down-hill for you and your pose of boxes. Just don't complain about the best box when they lead the group to survival and kick you out of the pose because you do the complete opposite of helping them survive' Extra burn: 'Well none of those boxes are gonna kill/help you save Larry'
i remember i was so fucking angry with lilly when he stole the van, i promised myself that if i ever get a chance to kill lilly i'd do it in a heartbeat. but 3 seasons later when i finally have lilly at my mercy, i couldn't bring myself to kill her. i forgave her and even told her good luck. after seeing the character's fates at the credit screen and knowing what lilly feels after all that (regretful) i think i made the right choice.
I don’t know why but i feel bad for Lily, i know she was a psychotic but i think she was like that because she always was alone and abuse by his father
I let her live. After all the people that I've known from the beginning and second time. Lilly is the only one left (Christa is most likely dead) and unfortunately, despite all this chaos, I think Lilly still knows that Clem is the only thing that is keeping her from killing herself as well. So despite all this shit. Lilly I forgive you.
I remember she says *"Why would you start a battle you can't win?"* or something along the lines of pettiness towards Clem, but she's literally fighting teenagers i'm-
Aww it's already the final season and there is still somethings I'm questioning. Like is Christa really dead!??? Or what happened to the javiet and his family, or will there ever be a season 5 of the walking dead. We will never know
And there are no answers to what happened to Arvo, Bonnie, or Mike, I wanted to see a showdown but I guess Telltale didn't care about ending some loose threads
For Javier during clem flashback of her After taking back AJ in the car she said "she wont going back to richmond because they are in warzone" so probably dead :P
This is why I think letting AJ shoot her is better, when you get this ending with her just running away, it’s not all that good for her being such a big villain in the series
This is going to sound harsh, but Lilly’s writing in this season was SO shitty. She hardly had any screen time or backstory, also her character felt rushed. Then if you spare her in episode 3, she’s in episode 4 for like 5 frigging minutes, like come on.
Ever since her dad Larry died in Season 1 Episode 2 Lilly's Downfall only got worse as she then went onto murder Carley/Doug in cold blood to which (My Lee) left her on the side of the road. As time has progressed she clearly hasn't learnt her lesson from being left behind. I got AJ to execute her since she was far to broken and dangerous to be kept alive.
Too bad Lee is dead. After finishing second season I regretted that earlier I was on the side of Kenny. But now I don't regret that I supported Kenny in the first season. Lilly is even worse than him. If Lee knew what monsters would become Lilly and Kenny, he would have killed them before to protect Clementine. The worst of it is that in this scene Clem repeated Lee's mistake. She let Lilly go
Really? I and many others think this was as good as Season 1. If not a bit better. It was so well done. Choices actually mattered. Characters were interesting. Story-line and the gameplay was obviously more advanced and just improved. I didn't find it disappointing at all.
Aidan Cavanagh Ok I’ll give you that choices somewhat close matter but this season felt super rushed and I was able to complete the game in a grand total time from episode 1-4 in half the time it took for me to play S1. I loved Lee and while I adore Clem I hate how AJ has this murdering spree that doesn’t make much sense at all not to mention he’s an asshat and doesn’t seem to care for Clem as much as Clem cared for Lee. S4 was great but as a finale I am disappointed and I think S1 is the best season. S4 I hoped to be better.
I know I'm wrong, but could there possibly be a DLC having something to do with all the remaining questions? Its okeee if they decide not too. Lilly may actually be reconsidering her life choices. Also, Clementine might be getting a prosthetic leg. What happened to Christa, Bonnie, Mike, Arvo, Javier and his family, etc? I'm sorry for asking too much. I really do think it's ok if they don't do anything at all. :333
Some people are getting excited at the possibility of playing as Lilly for Season 5 as she redeems herself in a new land which would be interesting character-wise. It would be challenging, but show that people can truly change and commit to being a better person. Lilly is a lot of things, but she isn't evil.
Is it really that hard to believe Christa is dead? i heard 1 gunshot, she would’ve needed more than 1 gunshot to get outta that situation, she’s dead and im sticking to that
I wish there was a way to change Lilly’s mind, have made her suuuchhh a great a new friendly lovely character who defends Clementine, but Clementine hears how in any moment Lilly is talking shit about her and Lee, and so there’s an oportunity to kill her or safe her, and Clementine can do nothing but stay there telling her she heard everything, while Lilly asks for forgiveness but it doesn’t work since Clem lets her die Or Clem kills her instead of telling her she heard everything
Desmond Warren I need a dlc for the characters that are still out there, arvos group, people from 400 days, Christa and Molly... i’m a curious person so this is so hard to handle for mexD
@@PolishGuy Maybe have Kenny and Lily only in the scenarios where they may still live. If you go into Wellington alone, Kenny would have to fend for himself, it's possible the Florida man can make it, and Lily's been hardened like never before, and with experience, she might actually make it out of there alive, leading up to a special one where all the pieces comes together, you might even get to pick whoever you want, or introduce a newcomer to take the player role. It's all hypothetical and we may never get this, but interesting to think about.
Never mind the darkness Never mind the books red moon The NIGHT will be over soon! I have that song written on my poster of the walking dead.I loved this series so much😭
Ok someone needs to make a dlc for the Delta cause Lily willing to do anything to protect it such as a slave army wait " reinforcements" is what she said.
I am glad I choose "I pity you lili", lili was broken after lost his army but to be honest she deserved after she cut Louis tongue and killed James. Whenever she goes she would suffer the same pain and it worst living with a pain fate instead of not suffering.
I see you all arguing about how clementine shouldn’t have survived. And to be honest, her surviving wasn’t stupid. It was completely possible, given the conditions. So stop the arguing
This pissed me off that she couldn't hit the bitch one time. They tried to make poor lil AJ turn into psycho. I couldn't stop the Marlon murder but I wasn't going to let baby boy kill another unarmed person. So shady how James died. Hated this episode the most.
I’m pretty sure it’s new frontier because Clem in The mccarroll ranch flashback mentions Richmond is a war zone so I’m pretty sure New frontier is the one that the delta is at war with
I really want Lilly to come back and become good idk but for some reason i actually like her ik she is not the best person but she is very smart and if you listen to what she says she speaks facts. "they'll drag you doen too Clem" despite being despicable a part of me is geniunly convinced that she cares for everyone but sadly(yet smartly) she comes first in a world of survival
I played Season 1 years ago and hated Lily right away. I abandoned her and wasn't sorry. Recently, I got all 4 seasons and decided to try and befriend Lily and maybe romance her to see the differences and she stole my RV. I made no hesitation to have AJ kill her. I don't regret a damn thing.
Spyro I actually like Lilly, even so lol. She’s a good villain and a interesting, entertaining character. Hope we’ll see her again in a DLC or if there’re will be a S 5
