Absolutely not the whole point of the NHS was it would be free at the point of NEED. This would be the full scale privatisation of the NHS with a first class service for those with money and a second class service for those without just like America
I had an accident where i fell off my bike, i fractured my shoulder and dislocated my arm. I called 999 and was told it would be 6 hours for an ambulance, i could hardly move with the pain but managed to get my own transport to A and E (inside i was luckily fast tracked and seen straight away). If i had waited 6 hours id have permenant nerve damage. There is no safety net anymore, the system is broken and needs changing.
How would that even work, if someone can pay to “Jump”the queue it would equally suggest there is no queue to jump as such if they’re prepared to carry out the work purely because you paid🤷🏻♂️ bloody con
I was in A and E and a man next to me was puking in to a bowl and it was disgusting he should of sat away from patients and another man had been in a fight and his eyes were swollen and bloody ghastly experience
Stop for christs sake just charge everyone in hospital a £1 a day for food while in hospital charge everyone for prescriptions a least a token 50p an item for the less well of . Charge 50p to see your GP . Stop treating people who payed nothing into the system .You start letting people with money jump queues you are suggesting the poor suffer and die so the better of can get help and that is disgraceful how dare anyone put one persons needs ahead of others .the lady who phoned re her hip jumped the queue and some other poor sod who had no money just hobbled and that’s the system that pleases the better of god help using do not believe you are saying that those in a job are more important lucky you Storm you just made it clear how selfish you truly are
So that lady who phoned in should suffer and wait and potentially cause more damage because it offends you and on principal? Seriously i get where you are coming from, but things are not fair in life, and everyone's situation is different, and many people have worked their ass's off to maybe get some money to live a reasonably decent comfortable life, not lavish, just decent!! Some people do not care all their life!! If people can pay and need something let them!!
@@Sharon-zi1xnthe problem with adopting that in the NHS at scale is that those who can't pay will be pushed futher and futher down the waiting lists as a result. The NHS leaks funding like a sieve, spending has gone from 5% of gdp in 2000 to 10% of gdp today with less beds available and low wage increases. It needs total reform focusing on front line roles, cutting non front line roles and halting the bleeding of funds to private entities.
