I would LOVE another director's commentary like the one you did for Bayonetta. It's like having a director's DVD commentary but for games. Also thank you for all the work you've done. Must have been hard to see your last two big projects not coming to fruition. I'll patiently await whatever you'll be working on next.
I gotta assume he left because of Platinums pivot towards Service games. Kinda lines up with something he said in a past interview that project GG was originally produced as a traditional SP action game but was pushed by the current CEO to make it a GaaS. Glad he’s going to continue making games and hopefully he’ll get to create what he actually wants without input from upper management.
The fact that the last non-Hideki game they made was the live service trash Bablyon's Fall, with it's failure leading Platinum's CEO to double down on future live service games, tells me that the studio has lost it's way ever since they let Tencent fund them and Hideki saw the writing on the wall.
@@DebbieDickens yeah for sure. I forgot about the tencent investment. That would definitely explain why the drastic change towards service games. Sucks to see such a legendary studio go down like this. At least I finally got Bayonetta 3 out of them.
@@okamikitsunegaming He only left Capcom, and that's because he had massive disagreements in regards to how Capcom was directing development projects, such as making a sequel of the first devil may cry behind Kamiya's back, and it ended up being an awfull game because of it. Clover studio got closed down, and many of it's members alongside Kamiya created Platinum game, so not sure what this "he leaves every company" nonesense you are talking about. Also, literally all the games he has directed have been critically acclaimed and have become cult classics, it's obvious you are just a hater with bland taste if you even consider games like Okami, DMC, Bayonetta or Viewtiful Joe as "average".
You make the best character action games. If you aren't sick of making these, I could easily see you making another franchise that's just as good as DMC or Bayonetta.
Been playing Kamiya's games since day 1 and will be there when he starts making games again ! Looking forward to watching your channel here and seeing what you do next!
I wouldn't mind hearing about some completely useless information about making games. Do an anti-Sakurai, essentially. Some key points about how to get through work meetings is a MUST.
Kamiya-san out of the game industry for a year smells like non-competition clauses (completely understandable) but now I kinda wanna see him guest in some podcasts like Harada's bar In any case, thank you so much for your service in Platinum! We will be waiting for your next adventure
@@futariseason1010 essentially you cannot work in the same industry (in this case, games) after leaving from a different company. This is to prevent trading company secrets/strategies/etc that could give your new employer an edge in the marketplace. I used to work in education-related admissions and found out I couldn't work for another school until 6-8 months after to prevent competition.
Kamiya-san, you are such an inspiration on so many levels. Thank you for your creativity, vision, and ability to direct teams to execute your dreams. Your next journey will be even more rewarding. Please take this time to recharge and enjoy your well-deserved rest :-D
Some of us follow you because of how real you are and the honesty you bring to your work. Please keep making the things you care about and sharing them with us, we will still be here 🙏🏻
Whatever you do and whoever you work with I hope you get all the creative freedom you need to make awesome games like you've always been doing, I'd like to see Microsoft contacting you to direct Scalebound as a single player hack and slash game with cutting edge technology. Or maybe it'd be great and interesting to see you working again with Capcom as long as they give you creative freedom, I'd love to see Viewtiful Joe making a return alongside God Hand.
Thank you Kamiya for being such amazing influence to me to be a Game designar. You have achieved a lot and you made such lovely games. Best for the future sensei Kamiya
Some video ideas: -Action figure collection -Favorite SHMUP games -Who is your favorite Ultraman or Kamen Rider -Anything Tokusatsu related :) -Scrapped ideas from previous games
Shinji Mikami I give an incredible amount of credit for not only his own games but the talent he discovered and gave an opportunity, Kamiya included. However if we are talking straight who has the best library of games as a director? Kamiya is the GOAT. If the two of them came together again there's no way we don't get a masterpiece out of it.
Definitely would love to see cooking videos, videos with you talking about your influences/things that inspire you, and reviews on media you're watching with all that spare time! And maybe game reviews unless that's too close to industry influence.
I hope that whatever you wanna do, you have fun doing it! you’ve given me TW101 one of my favorite games ever so all i want from you is to enjoy whatever you wanna do now. Thank you! 🙏
I would watch any of your content Kamiya! A cooking show or you talking about your favorite Kamen Rider and Ultraman shows would be very fun. Good luck with the future Kamiya!
In terms of content - imho, your war stories from past games developed would be cool. Similar to how Timothy Cain and Mark Darrah tell stories about the awesome stuff they worked on and things that happened there. Those you can divulge, ofc. )
I'm happy to see there is still at least one game developer out there who still believes in making the games they way THEY want. As a gamer, I'm so tired of corporations taking over, forcing microtransactions on us, forcing season passes on us, cutting content to resell it to us as "DLC" later. I'm tired of quality experiences you remember for years being exchanged for a multiplayer experience. I miss when a game was about experiencing a deep story, an expansive world, and about creating bonds with a colorful character. Modern gaming has died so much. Hopefully more developers take a stand, and decide to build the games they feel proud of and not cater to corporations who just want our wallets and nothing else. I applaud you Kamiya!
I just wanna say Mr. Kamiya, your games were very memorable and fun. Thank you for making them and being part of my life. As for ideas, sadly I don’t have any. But whatever you do, I’ll be here to support you, as a fan.
Good luck on your new adventure Kamiya! Thank you so much so far for all of your contributions to the gaming world culture over the years :) I'm happy you are free from boring and stiff meetings now. I can't wait to see you annoucne a new game. I would love it if you could do some let's plays with commentary, some videos about your hobbies, maybe some insights into meetings that made things hard for you etc.
Hello Kamiya San, i am an Spanish guy living in Japan and i want to tell you something: Thank you for every master piece you gave us, but specially thank you for 大神, i am playing videogames since 1987 (I am 43 years old now) and 大神 is my favourite game ever. 心から本当にありがとうございました。
1. Do some insightful und personal videos on video games you liked and inspired you to get your foot into that horrible gaming industry. 2. Take your time, you're not in a hurry. 3. Play "Kero Blaster", "A Short Hike" and "Into the Breach" throughout and analyse what clever reduction, innovation, charm and polish you can bring to low budget, yet cutting edge "Retro-Gaming". 4. Take your time, you're not in a hurry. 5. Muster your capabilites in a healthy way and create amazing low scale, yet highly competent Retro-Games. You have to prove that you still got it in you, if you want to stay relevant. 6. ^^
I am a great admirer of your work with bayonetta, I am very excited about each delivery you made. I love the growth you have wherever you go and that is why I carry the image and name of my channel in your honor, it is small but with love
Resident Evil 2 and Bayonetta are some of my favorite games ever, thank you Kamiya-san. Your cooking story was interesting, wouldn't mind seeing you make cooking channel.
