Besides, what would the story be like if it was just another chapter of Luffy clowning the Elders and everyone running in circles?. This chapter covered escape, locations, final battles, and how dangerous the Elders are. (Without Luffy’s Gear 5, everyone is in trouble so Luffy needs to learn to fight for days at a time like Roger and Whitebeard to properly stand a chance) Plus, I feel like once the bubble bursts and Egghead ends, we’ll have more questions and things to focus on than we can cover.

Oda took the break due to recent events of DBZs creator and to take time to look over himself to make sure he's doing good, get some peace of mind and think about the future of one piece. It just so happened that he took the break during a part of the arc with nothing extreme happening, what was he just supposed to push his mental health break back so everyone would be satisfied? Maaaaan I'm glad he took the break to do so, good for him!

I saw the spoilers and I must say. Luffy attacking the Elders with advanced conquerors. Haki. It didn't work. It hurt him, which means the elder's forms are too strong for base forms. Which means unless Luffy gets back his gear 5 and the Iron Giant helps him, he's gonna be in serious problem.

If Toriyama didn't pass at that time this isprobably what we would have gotten anyway. I love OP but Abd and the community need to relax.

They simply trained to get accustomed to the ki drainage and become more familiar with the form, so they can maintain it far longer without ki drainage drawbacks. Much like SSJ3 that took Goku time to get accustomed to and master the form without too much ki drainage.

Not every chapter has too be a huge reveal or action packed. Some chapter are meant to set up those huge reveals and Action sequences. So ya, it wasn't the most hype of chapters but it served its purpose to transition to those chapters and reminded us at the same time, that the Gorosei are no joke just bcz we have G5, as the whole fandom in general was making them out to be chumps, especially with the "I still have my friends!" panel for the past month.😂 No need to be hasty, Oda will break the internet again. Chapter wasn’t bad, it wasn’t the best either but it was a bridge chapter ode didn’t come off the break and create a mid chapter, he usually is at least a chapter ahead so this chapter was pre made and just happened to land on the day after the three week break. 6:50 Is understandable why one would think that Luffy recovering fast in this situation is a cop-out, but if Luffy just needs to eat to recover, then there's no problem. Regular food will help Luffy, but he needs a lot of it, but giants probably need a very high level of protein and calories to maintain those bodies. Also but most importantly Luffy was not alone in this situation after G5 expired or any or the other times for that matter. Had Luffy been alone and he recovered this fast, it would have been a problem, but in this situation, i don't mind it.

I've been reading OP since naruto manga series started. I admit OP chapters drag a lot. It amazes me that the mega OP fans defend these unecessary drags. For wxample: Every arch, the crew lands on a new island. They run around for 5 months getting chased. Go into a month or 2 with side characters' back story. The crew fights the island antagonist. The crew runs again. They win the fight and leave the island. 80% of the time these side characters and islands does not provide proportionate weight to the main story line go justify the time spent exploring their deep history. If we are lucky, the arch actually progresses the main story line. Personally, it is better to wait for 3 months of chapters to release then read it. Because that is how long it takes a little bit of story progression to happen in one piece. Why do i care that each and every past island luffy visited say ' vega punk is about to broadcast' ... No shit its a world broadcast. Maybe show something about these characters progression and impact on the story.

After watching 3 minutes of the video I just realized why oda paced the chapter like this. Next chapter Bonnie is going to snap and use her distorted reality Nika form, but this time more powerful now that she saw Nika. Next chapter is 100% about Bonnie

Interesting but who said Imu needs to be protected? If the Gorosei are this dangerous it's possible Imu is even more powerful. Besides, we all know Dragon isn't about make a move. Dragon only does two things: He looks east and drinks wine.

the more i think about Luffys fruit the more i think that fluffy doesn't really have any draw backs apart from stamina, a self imposed limiter of sorts, gear to makes you fast, you burn through stamina faster, gear three makes you big draw back you become small, gear four uses haki you loose all your haki, and now gear 5 is I'm the freeist in the world the draw back becoming the the most trapped. but post time skip the draw backs disappeared because luffys interpretation of gears 2 and 3 changed now the only draw backs is the fact it burns his stamina and the thing we know about lufy is he recharges his energy after eating, so his cool down time between gear 5 uses comes down to his stamina and if he has access to food he can recharge quicker, but this is a tinfoil hat theory.

You could be right, in that his exhaustion (the only real negative effect of G5) is countered by his insatiable appetite. His body is simply different -- think about it. He was able REGROW missing TEETH after eating Sanji's food. I believe his fruit really does reflect Luffy's imagination -- his limits are mostly self-imposed.

Haki has different levels remember katakuri stated that his armament is like a level too while luffy’s is like level one which is ok why his punches hurt Luffy even though he is in gear 4 at that time with armament

The takes in this video feel as though this is exactly why Oda needed a break lol. The expectations laid out seem quite unfair, especially given that this 3 week break wasn’t even for the purpose of bringing the great chapter of all time. It was a break. Unfair to say things feel like they’re spiralling out of control etc when that’s kind of exactly what’s meant to be happening in the story right now. Cut Oda some slack. He’s given us banger after banger

Oh man I know you guys also were hoping to see dragon, shanks or imu himself but damn it was so mid, why people think every chapter is going to be super hype and by the way oda took break for himself not for some guys on youtube would wait everything to be super hyped, some people can't think that if this chapter wasn't next one could be actually hype. 3 weeks of break oda took was to deal with akira toriyama's death.
