Jhope and BTS were arsonists who burned through the Kpop system to become one of the most popular artists this century. What he is saying here is that he burned everything and now he has achieved all of his goals. He could easily never work again for the rest of his life, but his passion that got him to this place is actually burning from inside him and can’t be easily put out. His heart is still burning.

The fire of passion is burning inside him. Instead of putting out the flame, he chose to burn brighter!!!

This era was amazing but hard. BTS had just announced to fans on live they were going on a group hiatus but to trust them. It was a scary time we knew military enlistment was coming. But each member made a solo project/album. All unique but each stunning. Jhope fearlessly went first at a time fans were scared/worried he released a hard banger of an album. Every track is stunning. Then he capped it off with one of the best ever Lolapalloza performances (he sold the most tickets of any single act on Lolapalloza history). The live of this is 100% harder more intense. He just released a second Ep a month ago that’s a more chill album dedicated to his street dancing days alongside a whole street dancing documentary series on Amazon Prime.

ARSONNN this one is such a good song, "More" is also a great song! But personally, oh man, from that album "Jack in the box", ny fav song are probably "What if", and "STOP" And also, if you wanna check out from the same album of Neuron, you can look lock/unlock (hasn't an official mv, but the song is sooo good) It's from OST album HOPE ON THE STREET Btw, RM of BTS, and a J-hope fella, is gonna release a new album on May 24! Not that many people react to JHopes track 1VERSE. It is not on any of his albums and there is no video. You will have to do a lyric video. It is so quirky and REALLY catchy.💜

I think you got it mostly. It is him examining where he is in his career and deciding should he slow it down or keep burning even brighter. This explanation by Sakshi Udavant was pretty straight forward and insightful, thinking it might help: As the title suggests, Arson talks about setting everything on fire. Here, J-Hope gets quite metaphorical and uses the term to suggest he’s: Burning for his passion. Setting the industry on fire. Burning out due to the grind. Firing up haters. Going through this fierce journey with his team. Wondering if he should put out the flames now or continue to burn more powerfully. The themes of overwork and burnout indirectly addressed in MORE, make an appearance here with lyrics like: I couldn’t stop. I burned it all as I wanted it all. No other option but to overheat inside. Was the motivation fueled by my blind ambition? When I sweat, I shower with oil so I can ignite myself. Make it even hotter with my success heating up. My dreams, done, big accomplishments, done, my share of the work, done, beyond this, none. Too much is as bad as too little. Better to quit when there’s still applause. It’s too hot, stop. In agony, I wake up. Towards the end of the song, J-Hope asks himself again if it would be better to put out the flames now that his career has peaked and he has a long list of accomplishments behind him, or if he should work harder and burn for his passion intensely to achieve MORE. This song is about them getting hate for going from underground hiphop artists to the idol world. But the hip hop world shunned them (calling them sellouts - falsely assuming they weren't creating their own music) and the idol world shunned them (considering them too free and non-conformist to "Idol standards") so they said, screw it, we'll do our own thing. And this song is one where they are coming to terms with being themselves. It also shows how impressive they are live. ;)

I think his ambition (his passion and dancing) has made him reach the top while burning him and everything (most likely his private life, friends, etc) around him. Now he reached at a place of achievement, he questions does he stop while at top or does he continue to ahead. At the end he continues burning (seemingly decided to reach higher achievements for his music).

There are a LOT of ways to interpret this song and video, for me in the end it’s a lot about how he busted his ass when he was young because when you’re young you go so hard for your dreams. And he did it?, fame money all of it. So now what does he do? Does he burn it all, stop while he’s at the top and leave the marks of his accomplishments for the future to see the trail they blazed? Or does he go harder, go a different path and try something new. Quit while you’re on top and let your accomplishments speak for themselves or keep going risking realising you’ve already reached your highest potential.
