Let's Compare: Diamond Painting Mini Kit Sets - Side By Side, Pros & Cons 

The paint gem kits were my gateway into the DP world. They're such a blast to chill on the couch and watch tv with. :)

I bought my daughter paint gem sets for her dorm. She loves them! The packaging is so perfect for a college student - no need to kit up, good quality and fun themes.

I’ve recently bought three of the mini dazzles from Diamond Art Club. I am working on the around the world 2 and am really enjoying it especially with all the special drills. They just make my heart happy.

I know it wasn't the point of your comparison, but I really like the idea of getting a DAC kit to counter the postage/packing. If it's going to cost me about £15 anyway, I might as well get a lil sum'n sum'n for it. I was considering putty, but I probably wouldn't use it, but I can certainly gift one of these to convert someone over to the Sparkly Side ✨️ 😉 🤭

Thank you for doing the comparison videos. When funds are limited, it helps to be able to see options without having to buy them all!! I purchased a mini kit from Paintgem and will use them as Christmas cards for dear friends and family. Plan to place personal notes on the back of them!

My favorite thing about Paint gems is the seasonalthemed kits. These are great little decorations to post around the house. I also enjoy a snack size kit after working on a big one.

I have the make market set and a paint gems set. I keep missing out on the DAC mini that I want but im going to keep trying! Thanks for the comparison!

I had to laugh when I saw you post this video. I literally had just showed my husband my completed DAC and PaintGem completed flower to compare the two. It was a treat to see the other brands as well. Thank you for doing this.

Love Paint Gem minis - they’re very clever ….. buy 2 & International shipping is free 😉 Have also noticed quite a few DAC images are cut off - I would be very particular which I bought as that would sooo frustrating. Tfs Katie

Like the mini kits. Did a paint gem for 4th of July. Four images is what I completed and really enjoyed it. I love the same features you described. I have a DAC kit as well but have not tried it yet.

Thank you for this video Katie. I have been hoping to find a company that has Mini paintings with round drills.While I think square paintings are beautiful,I do not like working with square drills. They frustrate me Now I can enjoy mini paintings too. Thanks Katie

Hi Katie Thank you for doing this comparison 😊 I have to say I love Paintgem 👍💚 The thing that puts me off the DAC is the border. I mount my Mini's on black card and put them in a display book but even if I wanted to frame them, I'd prefer to choose the background colour myself.🤔 As for the other two companies.. we don't have Michael's in the UK.. and for the stickers I'd go to Craft Buddy 😁👍💚

The make market are the only ones I use because I only do round diamond paintings. I think it’s a real disservice that the other companies don’t at least offer a round option.

DAC does stickers too all round drills 15 stickers per set (i think)

Paint gem definitely had a licensing issue a while back, they tried to license and artists work, and they declined, and so somebody “in-house“ decided to basically steal their style, and Frankenstein some pieces of their art together, pretty sure this was with the Gothic themed set. Think Edgar Allan Poe style.

I go over in anything I buy so I do not have to pay shipping. I would do the stickers. I normally do not do anything that small.

So I’ve tried pair gems on the minis so far and I like them for the most part. I don’t like the different facets on the drills though, like I think that’s my biggest issue with paint gem

I think Michels uses ai generated images for a lot of their art instead of supporting artists, or so I've heard so they may not need licenses. Double check if u can
