OK !! I need your opinions !! I am working on a PS3 Box art video & I need to know what Music you would like in it. I already have a few myself but I am looking for your opinions ! What music would you like to hear in the video ?
Xevious was just ported to the Amiga a couple weeks ago. Might be worth adding in the future if you ever update the video, as it's a really great version.
@@jasonlee7816 I thought the graphics could have been better. I think it might have been better to use a dither for the darker green, and then use the C64's normal green for the lighter parts, rather than light green. I also wish they had made the sprites smaller and given it more of a vertical orientation, maybe putting the score and other info on the right, like the Spectrum version did, to more closely replicate the arcade version. Also, the levels don't follow the arcade levels. There can be all sorts of technical reasons for altering a game's graphics and audio to fit a particular system, but there's really no excuse for changing the level layouts. Finally, it just feels kind of sluggish. The bombs for the ground targets don't seem to fire half the time, so I spend a lot of time trying to keep the crosshair on them and get a bomb to fire, which usually causes me to get killed.
The Atari 2600 homebrew version is extremely impressive! But of course not having any deadlines to meet makes it quite a bit easier. Heck, I would say that it is even better than the 5200 prototype version.
I've never seen so many versions of Xevious, loved the arcade version back in the day. They really span the whole range from excellent to absolutely terrible. I saw some work was being done on a nearly arcade perfect version for the Amiga 1200, not sure if it was ever finished though.
I love seeing the graphics and sound comparisons on older systems. But once you can perfectly imitate the look of the originsl it's just like seeing the original in the arcade. Also the Atari 2600 hombrew looked better than the Atari 5200 version.
Can you do Puyo Puyo 2 next? I'd like to see the 3DS (as part of Sega 3D Classics Collection), Game Boy Advance (as Puyo Pop) and Nintendo Switch (as part of Sega Ages) ports shown.
Thanks, I'm working on my own Let's Compare video for Double Dragob 2 rn. I'm making it purely as a way to find emulators and test my video editing skills. I have 18 different versions included. The videos not done yet, but I'm willing to allow you to upload it on you channel, as I for one have no way to profit off it.
Perhaps you should name this video "Let's Compare ( Xevious ) REMAKE". Excellent job on the video, though. Honestly, I have absolutely no idea what the Samsung SPC-1000 is.
8-bit computer versions are not brilliant, but then again - neither is the original arcade from 1982. Still, i like the smooth action of c64 and specific, monochromatic look of ZX, although game stutters a bit on it. CPC and MSX are equally sluggish, shouldnt have been released at all like that. No amiga version?
