I usually just wash and scrub the pieces with dish soap to remove the mold release from the plastic then go right to priming. This is pretty hardcore :O
You’re a braver José than me, lol. I don’t know if I have it in me to try customizing a Masterpiece figure. There a lot more complex, but best of luck to you! 👍🏼
Dam! I would never have the guts to even attempt an operation like this. How do you find the confidence to do this? Also if u ever mess up what do you do, do u just go " oh well" and move on?
Unfortunately due to the wide pics I wasn’t able to disassemble that section further, only what you see in the video. If you just bought the figure I’d look into exchanging it possible.
hey Hobbies with Jose i was thinking of switching the legs on earthrise prime and putting them on siege prime, but the legs don't seem to come apart as easily as the earthrise assemnbly what do you recommend?
@@HobbieswithJose I managed to get the legs to come apart with some force a day or so after my initial post, but the legs on the inside are molded different between the two so removing the pin in the knee is the only way to switch the lower part of the legs. Could you tell me what type of pin removel kit it Is I should get to do this.
@@HobbieswithJose I've been working on the pins in the knees since I got the set you've recommended, I got one out but I'm having a bit of trouble getting the rest what am I doing wrong?
Ok, I watched all the Prime custom and Megatron custom videos. 5 and 4 so, 9 videos. Tell me, does that paint scrape off easily or is it reliable as a permanent fix? I need to know. I want to customize my transformers too but, without asking or searching, you magically just popped up into my algorithm as if it were a sign that I should customize my bots. Thing is, I transform my bot constantly. It’s an autistic thing I have that I need to be taking thing apart and making them better and transforming them back and forth. Thing is, everything I’ve ever used just wipes off over a month or 2. I never thought about spray paints. I’ve been using oil based paints. Do you have a video that teaches? Send me a link please.
I don’t have a video that teaches that sadly, but constant transformation CAN affect the paint. I mostly keep mine in my display case so I don’t have to worry about it. I recommend you you finish your projects with a Tamiya gloss clear top coat. That’ll help protect the paint though still not 100%. You’ll still need to be careful in the future. I wish you luck! 👍🏽
Yeah, it’s weird that they did that, but it usually pertains to where they have room on the molds. Weirder still is why they decided to paint is metallic blue.
i assume it was so that they could have the back of the head and eyes be transparent plastic so that they could have light piping, but they decided not to for literally no reason. They have a habit of doing that. Studio series bumblebee soundwave has light piping, but his visor is painted over so it doesn't work. Genuinely baffling.
