Would love to compare one to a Gibson. They seem rather expensive on the used market right now. The cheapest one without damage is almost $2k. I'll keep my eye out!

Yah I saw that one on sale on reverb for about 1600. Looks like new old stock labeled as mint. Would be cool if you could reach out to the manufacturer and borrow a tester. Your reviews are way more in depth than anything else on RU-vid. In an era where we order online, reviews like yours make a world of difference. Thanks!

Hrmmmm sketchy. I know that finish just falls off, cause TONS of the old Ibanez AX 1220 Prestige's just have chunks missing. I don't trust that finish at all.

The Guitar Pit yeah there is another one on reverb for $1300 free shipping. But like you said that finish is chipped all over. It seems to peel right off. Probably has a weird texture I bet too.. might feel weird to rest your arm on. Yeah, it's weird. Maybe people are still spending their trump checks. Or, they've come to terms with staying at home and are willing to cough up some cash for their hobbies, more so than before. Unsure...

A lot of stores are not running at full capacity due to the fact that they are not open to public but still selling almost as much stock. They are selling much more online though so still have to check, pack and post the gear, still have to get 'new' stock in and process that, take photo's and list them. They still have 'overheads' - even if the full quota of Staff are not working all at the same time and still aren't going to sell gear at cost (or lower) prices just because the country is under lockdown/quarantine. Its also a great time for those who are in lockdown to have time to spend on playing guitar or learn so its not as if the they are struggling to sell instruments. At most, you may find some individuals who are struggling financially and need to sell their guitars and willing to make a deal but shops themselves aren't in that position. If anything, it could affect the stock, the ability to get 'new' stock in to cope - although it seems that Factories are re-opening now. I can see a slump happening when people go back to work (if they have jobs to go to) and maybe seeing guitars bought now flooding the market (either because they have no time or no money). With the weather improving too, there maybe less demand for 'indoor' activities/hobbies so we could see a Slump in retailer demand and stores then having to offer better deals/sales to entice buyers but right now, they seem to be doing well enough through online traffic that they are not 'desperate' to get the money. Taking £300 off could be the difference between keeping a staff member employed for another week or two or not

Absolutely, I missed a couple deals last week myself and everything I’ve been seeing popping has been gone within minutes. Everyone is just sittin at home doing the same thing hahaha

Awesome man! The Holcomb pickups are insane, I love them. Haven't tried a Legator yet though. Hope they rock! I had a Vader 7, but my 8 was an old Agile Pendulum or something like that. It was impossible to play haha. Never again!

@@TheGuitarPit Yeah I'm excited for it, I bought some hipshot upgrades and a couple odds and ends. I've had great luck with Legator so far, great customer service and all the guitars i've played have been fatastic at every price point. They make killer modern guitars for the price, they're not for everyone but in my case they are very comfortable. That's funny though man, I've always been turned off from extended range guitars.. only recently have I changed my mind. I have 0 experience with Agile, i've heard good things about them but I've always been skeptical.

Sweet! yeah I changed the nut and tuners on my Holcomb too. It was a beast after that. And Agile is a solid budget guitar brand. I just hated how wide the 8 string neck was. Nothing wrong with the quality on it, but I immediately knew "ohhh this isn't for me."

@@TheGuitarPit Haha yeah, I've heard a lot about the stock nut so that was the first thing I ordered. Apparently Graph Tech makes a direct replacement nut (which I have) that doesn't even need to be filed, did you have the same nut and was yours a direct fit? 'PQ-6643-00' That's what I've heard though, and from what i've seen, they look incredibly well built especially considering the price... as far as the 8 string goes, I feel your pain brother haha. I actaully own an Ibanez RGIF7 which is a 27.5/26 multiscale, but it comes with 8 string pickups, and the string spacing is fking massssive... apparently it's pretty similar to an 8 string when you account for the string spacing, so I'm hoping it won't be that difficult of a transition :P Only time will tell I suppose. Hope all is well my friend. -Austin

Reverb, mostly. They are usually the plainer colors and might even have a ding or two, but at that price I really like em. I looked back at Twitter and pre lockdown it seems like there were many listed in the 1350 range. Recently though...not so much.

The Guitar Pit interesting. I’ve been watching on Reverb and haven’t ever seen one at the $1300. Been watching for about a year. Crazy!

Never heard of that brand. What got you on to that? Looks kinda like a Suhr/TA/AZ/Theos sort of deal?

@@TheGuitarPit I was searching for superstrat custom builders and there was a guy doing a comparison between them, a ibanez tqm1 and another custom brand. Out of them all he preferred the mensinger. So when i get the cash I will look at getting something built.

Ha, gross! Fair enough. Just seems like they don't hold up very well. Seen a ton of them with weird wear spots.

It's the non Floyd cause a 300 guitar with 1 is a no no. Anyways ive never been so nervous for a 250.00 🎸. Everyone said there stock pick ups are not bad an the full fret access etc makes for a killer budget guitar. I've not had a Jackson 6 string in years so i got the A-OK from you 😆. Be well dude .
