The Guitar Pit is a channel dedicated to 100% honest, detailed reviews on new and used guitars and gear. All opinions are my own, and all reviewed gear has been purchased by me -- not supplied by any company. If something sucks, I'm going to tell you. If you're looking for up-close detail on fit, finish, specs, and quality, with a little mediocre guitar playing thrown in there, you've come to the right place.
Hi, I have a question, which guitar is better to buy, because of built quality? I like 3 brands IBANEZ RG Series , Schecter and well the KIESEL too Ibanez and Schecter have cheap models, but I don't know about the Kiesel cheap models these guitars are expensive.
Brazilian Rosewood tops cannot be taken out of the US without an approval permit. It is basically the only wood for finished instruments that CITES still bans. If you don’t intend to leave the US it’s a beautiful wood. I had to return mine due to shipping it to Japan. It is engraved on the back of the headstock to not be sold outside of the US. Although the odds of some custom official looking at one is slim, I wouldn’t chance having my $5k guitar confiscated. Just FYI. I ended up with a lovely Tiger Wood maple cut.
Good review. No mention of the nut though…Ken Parker is a master luthier and should and probably will be remembered as such. This is an amazing guitar!
You cant compare pick ups those pick ups are 20 plus old also a lot of the pickups in the e series are American also you should have compair to an American mid 80s fender OH no they hardly made any due to qualify of the workmanship
As many of said, it was a $10,000 guitar that the company was selling for $3000! Mine is exactly like yours! I also had a natural solid mahogany! That one actually played a bit better for whatever reason. Looking for a Supreme now!
I’ve seen so many Kiesels on Reverb that have sat forever because the colors are just too cartoonish. Props to Kiesel for building whatever you may want even if it’s a bad idea but yeah there some really ugly choices out there. What’s up with all the Pink guitars? I must have missed that fad.
Nah - get another Japanese brand strat - for example Fujigen, or Bacchus. WAAAAY better. (ive got 7). Just sold off my last Fender yesterday - NEVER again!
very cool! defiantly up there with the modern eagle v in terms of versatility . i have modern eagle v wood library on the way.a 2024 model with mahogany body, a crazy faded blue jean quilted maple top,a insanely flamed roasted satin finish maple neck and a zircote fretboard with abalone birds and a stunning brown/burgundy case. never thought i would be able to get a prs but here we are...can't wait!
Just sold a guitar on Reverb and what I learned is to take lots of pictures of the guitar and after it’s in shipping box. Also, Make a video of every function working just prior to boxing for shipment. Buy shipping insurance. The guy who got my guitar contacted me the day after receiving and said certain things didn’t work. I put in for a case with Reverb, but he wanted a partial refund. So I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle and sent him the partial refund. Then the next day the guy said he was wrong and wanted to refund to me the refund. Glad he was honest! But there is no way I know of for a buyer through Reverb to refund the seller a refund he gave the buyer. So he said he would send it through PayPal. Still haven’t received it yet, but that was just yesterday so? Anyways, from now on with me I am sticking to selling my guitars on Marketplace or Craigslist! I sold the guitar for $925, and am only getting $677 for it after all the fees, not to mention the hassle!
No offense but a valuable guitar will sell itself. Other wise your in for a long wait. Dealers have taken over reverb in resent years and they're all out to make a killing. Good Luck
I have owned a Suhr Mateus Asato signature "Strat" and just got an Ibanez AZ2204 Prestige. I prefer the Ibanez - more tonal variety (the neck does feel better on the Suhr).
3:05 I have to disagree. The material a guitar is made out of makes no difference to the tone once it’s plugged in. It’s all pickups and hardware. Acoustic however is a different deal.
Ibanez over keisel! Full stop, keisel guitars aren't really that great seriously I've been playing professionally for years and NOBODY uses keisel, seriously, its always fender ,Gibson or Ibanez ,js
I'd like to add a few things that I do- When I'm packing a guitar, I take a couple of photo's of the guitar, with the packing box, showing that the guitar wasn't damaged before being boxed up. I then take a number of pictures showing how it is packed, as I am packing it. I also detune the guitar a bit before putting into the case. If it is a little loose in the case, I tighten things up with a little packing material. The photo's of packing the guitar will be invaluable if the guitar is damaged during shipping and UPS, FedEx or the buyer says that it was not packed correctly.
I have one of these, in a cool metallic copperish color. Found it slightly used, at a Sam Ash music store. Love it. Sounds killer, comfortable to play.
