It will have so much more power with a Mikuni carb than with that severely limited fuel injection setup! I hunted for a 2002 Heritage just to avoid all the old fuel injections limitations.
@@JETFILMCHANNEL Where your from is not where the bike style and name is from....🤷🏻♂️, but if you don’t want to respect the correct name and help to rectify it.... it is what is is and its still a badass VICLA you got there...salud!
Thanks, I'm glad it helped. So I'm assuming a follow-up film would be something you'd find useful? Trying to gauge if this style of film is something that people like.
Love the tool box 'montage' lmao! ngl Sam you looking like a straight creeper sitting in the dark over there... Great video. Love the build. keep up the great work
First off, the production and edits on your videos is top notch. Secondly, if you’re considering a cam set, your fishtail exhaust is likely sacrificing performance on your deluxe comparing to other stage 1 103s but as far as a performance cam my 57h has been great and delivers 93hp/99ftlbs at the wheel on a out of the box FP3 tune. The 57h is designed for the 103 the 48h cams are better suited for the 96ci motors. But if you’re going just for exhaust note with the fishtails pull the trigger on some lopey boys since you’re not likely to achieve the most efficient exhaust flow and scavenging characteristics with the fishtails anyways. Just some food for thought.
Thanks, definitely sound advice. I knew I'd be sacrificing some power with those fishtails, but thats the price of the "look". The lope is definitely an alluring characteristic that I'd like to have, but thankfully I still have a couple months to research. 93hp with the fp3 is pretty damn good, I bet she rips. Thanks for the info, cheers!
@@JETFILMCHANNEL definitely does look killer excited to see the progress! The stretched fenders will definitely make it pop. And ya she definitely scoots with the 57h cams. I think you’ll enjoy the seat of the pants pull with some cams.
I have a 2005 roadking i put progressive drop in suspension in front has a 2in drop, and some burly drop shocks for the rear i like the way it looks jus regret not buying the 39in samsons fishtails i have the 36in. Ones... Cant wait to see yalls done man 🤘
You're 100% right. I definitely leave out the springers when I'm talking about cholo bikes. Not sure why I keep doing that because I highly respect a well done cholo springer.
That's what I did. Instead of buying the Gangsta Mirrors for over $100, same Mirrors, buy visor separately. Hell, the visors come separately on the expensive ones too.
Love your videos bro, subbed, inspired me to do it up on my 2015 deluxe 103. Finally completed w/ legend suspension front and rear , hands down best. Planted and ripping through long sweeping curves(didn’t want air ride). Carlini 14” gangsters, all chromed out. Bought new off showroom floor, waiting for tires to wear a little more before I go w/21 front, 18 rear fat spoke. Keeping stock fenders. Seriously considering cams now and that’s it. Got throw over bags and sissy bar duffle for south Jersey shore runs, weekend trips. Greetings from south Philly Italian. keep up the good work I dig your videos!!!
Hey John, thoughts on taking an 07 FatBoy and making a cholo build? I have an 07 FatBoy and debating whether using that as my flatform for the build or buying a Deluxe or RK any input appreciated. Thanks and keep up the good quality vids
If you stretch your fender or add streched bags you really should go with 39 fishtails. They look like 36. Also if you ever need some good work done check out ctr customs they are out of roswell new mexico they are they best
Guero, you know more about Cholo than my Cholo friends...lol... And, I'm Mexican in Los Angeles, CA... I have an 03 RK and added the Shockgun Shocks (rear)...Great!! And Samson headers with 39 Shark fin up swept tip, looks bad ass... all the chicks dig it, and the homies too...lol....That's Cholo.... If you guys ever come to Cali, Los Angeles give us a heads up... By the way, I like your videos... Keep it up Bro...
The talking of the possibilities of how your thoughts of your up grading was kool. I thought it would be nice to see the parts of what you both were discussing, if they were available at the time.
Yep I ran Amsoil and I remember when I first ran my bike after a new oil change man my bike felt like it had more power and roar to it! Ima continue to use Amsoil full synthetic!
I'm running Woods TW 555 cam my bike is Dyno tuned Clock Werks pipes and pushing 97 hp 102 torque on my 2008 softail deluxe with a 96 cubic inch engine!
I never tried the downed beach bars, so I'll take your word for it. Either way I'm sticking with the apes on this build. They just give such a nice profiled shape to these bikes.
It is difficult if you lower the bars. That is how I ride mine, cause I'm a short guy. When trying to turn at low speeds the bars tend to hit the rider's knees if you are tall, and when you ride at high speeds into a curve you just don't lean with the bike, you have to counter steer. Plus it gives the bike a more streamline profile look.
As a former colour technician. Basically black is either yellow or blue shade depending on the pigment used to manufacture it. Blue is rarer, 'cause its more expensive. Plus that's the effect of adding black to a blended colour, it'll either "yellow" the shade or "blue" it. So itself you don't really notice, the yellowing or bluing. So, there's some useless information for you!
Thanks, I'd really like to increase the frequency of the vids. This winter has been tougher than I originally thought. Parts I've ordered are taking forever to receive, 1 manufacturer mixed up my order which pushed me back a couple weeks, slowing down the whole train of videos coming up.
I went with extended bags on eBay they were around 300$. They work great I also went with 39” fishtails. I couldn’t be happier!!! Actually $313.19 shipping was included.
Thanks, we might be going. Not 100% at the moment though. I'll definitely make an announcement on Instagram of any rally we are going to attend. As of now, Americade and Laconia are 100%
I just had a cam, filter, fishtails and a tune done on my 2020 deluxe, didn't make much more power than stock, the torque numbers improved though. The tuner said that the fishtails kill the power figures
They definitely do. It's no secret the 2-1 are best for making power, but fishtails look and sound awesome. I never hear people say "wow, look at that 2-1!", but everyone's got something to say about some big ole' fishtails. You made the right choice Scott
west coast chopper cholo and Vicla is all good ! look up Steady customs Factory 47 for some good products to dress them scooters up also in my humble opinion don't go with black for a true chicano style Vicla go with a lowrider paint job candy paint something to stand out and say hey Foo im here y Que !!! from the west coast ✊🏽
crash bar....get a bad ass crash bare and highway pegs to match floor boards ....... Im running '00 RK full build with Mikuni Carburetor............. Low-Low style is the way to go............West Coast Cali we got the most siccest bikes out ............ Ride Safe Brothers
I think that he should definently consider lowering his rear. Its like a 40$ part from 1 to 3 inches. As well and an air ride off of ebay for his bike is like $250. Pretty much the same as a low to mid range set of shocks. I like what your doing. Keep it up.
Makes a larger bike more nimble. If you go with a 23 and up, make sure your forks are raked properly, to handle better at higher speeds and avoid the death wobble.
Hey Ray, thanks for watching man. I've seen those before and I just think they're too big. The diameter is just too wide to the point where they start to dwarf the front end of a deluxe. They may look a little better on a road king though. But either way, I'm not really feelin the whole "speaker" thing on cholo bikes. But hey, "TO EACH HIS OWN". Stay safe Ray
Sam does suck though. 😂 Another great video, can’t wait to see all your new upgrades. Are you going with shotgun? Why are you against throwing some bags on your bike?
Hahaha my boy Sammy!!! Yes, shotgun shocks but I'm trying to keep it as a surprise. The bags I feel are hit or miss on a deluxe, and that they seem to cover the beauty of the "hardtail" look that the softails have. But on a Road King I think they look awesome
@@JETFILMCHANNEL I’m looking forward to your video on those shocks. I’ve been considering those for my 99 Heritage Classic. Do you know if you have to completely remove them every time you change your primary oil? That drain plug sits directly in the middle of the two stock shocks.
Thanks, yeah, I'll try to be very in-depth about the install. And it's the transmission oil that it blocks, primary is still available for easy changes. What I'm seeing is 2 options... 1- remove the front half of the shocks and let them hang vertically while you access the trans drain plug. 2- pump out the old oil through the "fill" port using a small hose.
Then why do you keep watching my films? First of all, I don't know why you keep saying "canyons", as if everyone lives near a canyon. Second, thank you for calling it a show bike because that's what I built it to be. Third, I'm not a new biker. Fourth, wannabe? Seriously? Wannabe what? And finally, why would you even care in the first place? Just so you know, I just finished a 6 hour ride tonight, couple hundred miles only to look at my phone and see that you wrote this. It was a blast by the way. So practical or not, it makes me happy. Can't wait to hear your response
HAVE A BLAST ON YOUR CHOLO BIKE ! THEY ARE NOT PRACTICAL ! CANYONS AN SHARP CORNERING ! ARE WHERE , YOU ACTUALLY LEARN TO RIDE !
