I am a big fan of never seize. Like you finding it on the yoke, I found it had been used on the front end of a Lincoln I owned and the discovery turned a dreaded front air suspension replacement on a twenty year old Ontario car into a nice easy job. Made my day. Thinking about it still brings a smile to my face nearly 10 years later. 😁

The Kenworth K100 is an iconic rig and your creation is really coming together here. The little things are what makes it right and are needed to finish the project properly. Galvanic corrosion is why anti-seize was made and that darn output shaft yoke is a lesson in why it's used (a few more gray hairs there). I would also be interested in what you are going to do to the interior of the cab over as well (let future Rich handle it).

Hey rich, I make custom exhausts for trucks, gen sets, dozers, automotive ect. I noticed your “flex pipe dump” and just wanted to let you know that the flex shouldn’t be “flexed” it’s to stop the exhaust from cracking when the engine twists ect, so if you already have the flex, flexed it just tends to shear the flex so I’d recommend a solid fabricated bend section and run the flex on the straight section so it has room to flex. But awesome job love the videos and the truck super keen to see it done! Congrats from Australia 🇦🇺

I agree that the sawzall toothbrush was a great idea... I will have to try that sometime. On another point, someone criticized me in the comments of my "Will it Drive" video for torching the rollers out of a stuck bearing on a Dana 70 so I could get it off.. While I am not glad you had to torch that yoke off, I am glad to see that I am not the only one who is wary, but not afraid to torch something off when necessary. Sometimes, you just have to. (edit): And mine wasn't even rusty... not even close to Ontario rust, eh.

Usually when crap is old and rusted together the only thing to always do, if its doesn't come apart on your first couple attempts, just cut it off. I once tried to remove a coupler from an old hitch receiver and no matter how much I tried it wasn't gonna let go. You think the bloody thing was welded together for heaven sakes, so I just grab the torches and just cut the stupid hitch off all together. After I fought it for a couple hours. That's why I stopped working with old pieces of crap and become a welder fitter so I didn't have to work with rusted pieces of crap anymore. It can drive a man insane. My heart felt for ya, cause, I've been there a many of times.

I don't think I like the tan tail-bar, but it might grow on me, lol, it's looking better-n-better, great video, and thanks for sharing.

You should have mounted the rear full fenders with the suspension at ride height and left space for deflated bags. They are not going to be level now when its at ride height, the back will sit higher.

Hope you see this but you should look at V&R for a yard jockey. most ive worked with have electric/hydraulic pumps to lift the cab. I think it would make it so much easier to work on, plus youve gone this far on the rig would make it cooler.

Big equipment like this and farm/construction gets you real good with a sledge and torch lol . Hard on the body though, modern tools does help but I got aches and pains thanks to rust and lack of anti-seize type compounds being used at manufacture and service stages ... She pretty much done ... Go do some lighter work on the pickup lol ... One thing that concerns me is you don't seem be getting as dirty as use to lol, perhaps you getting too old for it ! :-D Keep having fun & hope the shows go well and give you a bit of a routine break and energy boost ...
