My nephew’s Case IH combine has a small linear actuator on the straw chopper/spreader. The actuator is nothing special, but their proprietary added hardware to send position information is apparently very special, adding about $1000 to the price.
My tractor did the same thing. Pulled the plunger out of the solenoid slightly and clamped it with a Vise grip. Worked great until I got a replacement solenoid
Fantastic video, very detailed where needed (both in instructions and video recording). I was gifted one that need the EXACT carburetor cleaning! Also, is there an easy way to R&R the battery?
I was my buddies on call mechanic, so when he broke a tractor or something, we did the same sort of thing. Put AC roof unit off a Dodge van on the combine, van was free for towing it away. Got a think out of the box!!
