Yes got some of the others too. So many books and so little time. Must remember to take my time when I am reading to enjoy it and not hurry through for the next. Best wishes.
The Count of Monte Cristo is a great book. And what you said about the historian and the type of books you don't want to read is something that I have issues with as well. I can enjoy some historical fiction, but some of the genre seems to be filled with things that people wish was true rather than focusing on things that are factual. It makes it worse, though, if you try to pass it off as reality.
Thanks for the comment. My thinking is that the longest relationship you will have with anyone is with yourself! If you lie that deep, how do you even live with yourself? Best wishes to you and what you choose to read.
Well done on the three books published! I was able to find two online and put them in my cart. My son's college class is over and he has a week of vacation before he starts his next class, so I'll corner him into doing the tag this weekend. mwah, ha, ha. There are phrases he and I use from Hitchhiker's Guide... what did you do monkey man? I really laughed when he broke the machine because it couldn't quite get the tea right. Prometheus and I are very particular about our tea. His brother in law gave him a copy so he owns one now. yay. Interesting dinner party guests. 🤣 I liked Laurel and Hardy, but preferred Abbott and Costello. Who's on first? That man who lied to his daughters is disgusting! Now they're going to go around telling people this lie and how are they going to trust him now? This is appalling. And if it nevr happened, it still makes him a liar. Either way, yeah, that man can't be trusted. 🤔
Comment came through! I will send a longer reply later. Thanks for the comment and appreciate you trying the books out. I hope you find them interesting and enjoy them.
-I think youtube is still hiding my comments. sigh, so ridiculous. Well done on the three books published! I was able to find two online and put them in my cart. Is it me or does the world get crazier every year?! Just sat with a cup of tea now. Must get around to some Laurel and Hardy or some Abbott and Costello.
@@ReadingIDEAS.-uz9xk It's almost 3:30pm now and I've just sat down to eat lunch...and of course a cuppa. No, it's definitely not you. And here in the U.S. it most likely will get worse. Some good laughter is definitely needed. I loved watching old movies at my grandmother's house. Movies my mom and dad didn't watch.
