I had a friend in the 70's that we painted her bedroom walls with those flowers. we spent a whole weekend doing that and when her parents came home on monday they made us repaint it because it wasnt what her mom liked...we worked so hard on those walls. now she is a retired art teacher from an art college in California

I remember my parents owning a bedspread with a pattern similar to what you painted on the leather when I was little. It was sort of cream coloured with orange and yellow flowers with brown details. That was a very popular colour combination back then. I have baby pictures of me (born in '82) with wallpaper in those colours, too. Can't wait to see what kind of book you'll turn this into.

Reminds me of the decals of The Mystery Machine of Scooby Doo's gang. They were supposed to be from the "Groovy" era. Also, The Austin Powers Movie.

Very groovy!😉 I was a hippie in the ‘70s (yes, I’m *that* old) and we used to draw these for fun. They were also the design on a lot of our clothes! My mom had a pair of orange bell bottoms with big yellow daisies, like these, all over them. I had a groovy mom…

Hullo Jenn, I think I first saw these flowers on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In TV show! They were painted on the background scenery as well as ON the girls who were dancing! Most decidedly a psychedelic flower! I look forward to the next video psychedelic patterns, good luck!

Thank you for saving the washi tape scraps for later unlike some people. Seriously, I can't tell you how annoying it is to see other artist's use decorative washi tape for their art just so they can throw it away. Like, they bought it because they liked the design on them, so it doesn't make any sense to be so wasteful. 🙏

Thanks! Since this is multi-surface paint, it shouldn't need to be sealed (at least that's what the label implies) so I'll see how it holds up without.

I would call it "psychedelic flower" or something tracing on the 'hippie-dippie' visuals of the 70s era and subcultures it's derived from.. tho in part it also traces to marketing, so there might be an actual term for it already
