Machines (today) copying will do precisely, human scribes knowing the "precise tradition" will copy precisely also. So, so what, if that text is "precise" and "preserved"? It is not even assured from Muhammad, just collated by Uthman. The first Qurans were not precise, these were recalled and burned by Uthman, so that disproves "preservation" belief anyway.

Christianity in England thrived until the 1980s, with high church attendance. I always found it strange that the koran would talk about itself in the third person.

Yesterday i was watching CPrince and one person had quran that had only 127 verses in chapter 9 (usually it is 129 verses), he found out it and left in shame. What quran did he had? Was it lost copy of ibn Masrud?

Very simple. If they believe their book is not even ALLOWED to be changed, then all you have to do is copy out a portion in front of them and change one letter.

I've tried group activities before where you verbally say pass a message between 4 -5 people. By the time message reaches back to its origin it is totally different. Because people tend to interpret and say things differently. Im surprised that all the information Muhammad verbally told people was kept perfectly without errors or misinterpretations and the finally written on paper in full quranic form centuries after he died. But the thing is i dont really study Muslims who make the claim that the quran is the same today as it was then in the 7th century. If Muhammad was illiterate, and the Quran was written 20 years after his death, then were the men who wrote the words down prophets? Wouldn't only a prophet be able to write it down word for word exactly as Muhammad had recited, was their memory completely perfect then, to have written it down word for word? Seems to me that they would have had to be prophets in that case and then Muhammad wouldn't be the last prophet.

Early Christian manuscripts are not stable at all. Therefore is it the same with Islam? -

The Koran Has been preserved word for word and letter for letter. Except for minor differences between the various copies depending on which region of the world we are in. We also can't be certain just which Koran today is closest to what Mohammed said because the other copies were burned. Edit: This was sarcasm for those who missed it. one correction to Jay Smith. At 6:19 minute brother Jay Smith says Allah always reveals or expresses himself in the plural. That is not correct. Allah speaks in the I, He, and We form. We have even verses where all are implemented. Also, Allah speaks in the first second and third person. The champion of ONENESS and still speaks more plural then ever.

If two people gave two different accounts of the same thing contradicting each other, then at least one of them is wrong or inaccurate. 1. There are christians who claim Jesus is God. 2. There are christians who claim Jesus is son of God and not God. 3. There are christians who claim Jesus is both God and son of God. 4. There are christians who believe Jesus is a man (not God, not son of God) Which is accurate? These are all major contradictions in the religion. Different factions occured since after the time of Jesus. The Quran is the latest Revelation from God and is the Criterion over the current bible(s).
