Let's Explore... The 549 Bus Route! 

I could tell you a lot about the 549 when at Sullivans, first on its first day I got to the depot for 4 in the morning and cleaned AE27 which was allocated that day inside and out and it was best looking bus, shiny wheels as well, a week later I believe it broke down so they were looking for a bus to cover quickly, they asked me and a colleague what buses had the blinds so we said E57 which is a Double decker so they took that on the 549 for 2 trips, it didn't go well with TFL as you can imagine, there were usually I believe there were at least 5 drivers who knew the route, 2 that did it regularly and 1 that was spare, the 1 that's spare would normally do school runs or other service work so if there was a blow out they panic in the office and send someone out to cover who doesn't know it with a map and expects them to do it. The bus you got on AE23 I wish I knew as it needed a clean as that's known to have a big oil leak at the side at the back which I noticed, normally I would be concerned and a little annoyed that I didn't get to clean it so it would be nice for a video or picture but as I don't work there anymore I don't really care lol. I hope you enjoyed some what of the buses apart from the rattling and I hope you enjoyed the route.

I'm planning to do the 549 very soon I've already done 217 W9 and 298 I did 298 yesterday and had a great time I've already put up some of my Videos already and man the amount of editing I've done is alot I guess the same with you as well anyways its always a great video as always keep up the great work!

Can't believe the 549 bus is retiring! I will certainly be doing this bus before it retires on the 7th September.

Nice video but the 549 is actually run by Stagecoach which was the previous operator before Sullivans And the route that Arriva have is the 217 from Turnpike Lane to Waltham Cross

So how comes online line is saying is operated by Stagecoach when it's Arriva someone had made a mistake or is Operated by both at the moment until it's Replaced with the W14

Nice one did you know on Sunday 549 could use AE24 as AE24 runs on 327 and 327 is Monday to Saturday

Umm 549 used to be with sullivan ta South Mimms, its now with Stagecoach from West Ham, not arriva or at south mimms. But when you filmem This, it’s with sullivan buses, I’m confused

I'm not happy that W9 is stagecoach and that 549 is arriva

Riku, i noticed you tapped on the bus using apple pay or something on your phone, but it had the child beep when scanned. Is it a certain type of card that only pays child fares on apple pay? Thanks, ps - great vid, very interesting!
