I've got a 69 F600 with the 330FT in it. My dad bought the truck back in the early/mid 80's for use on our farm so its been in the family for about 40 years now. We used to load it with wheat until it ran off all four sides of the box and hit the road with it. Regularly went across the scales with 330 bu of wheat in her (20,000 lbs) and that little 330 just pulled like there was no tomorrow. I now use it as my firewood getting truck up in the mountains and she still runs just as sweet as ever.

On those worn out throttle shafts I have had good luck using bullet shells for bushings. Sounds strange but it's an old timer trick that works, .22lr once you snip the end off is a great brass bushing. I did a video on it with a mower carb and have had success on trucks as well. Great channel you got and I look forward to future episodes!

Imagine how tickled I was to learn what a true Tennessean treasure we have here. "Augh Ya" I'm only half way through the video and anxious to get back to the action so, "Blurp- Blurp" Lets do it Thanks as always Chad ! 👨‍🔧 🔧 🔨 Excellent content creator !

It's funny, why you remind me of the way my dad used to do things. He spent almost 30 years working in industry up here, Carter Wallace (they make everything from Arid Xtra Dry deodorant to Trojans) US Pipe, Philadelphia Insulated Wire, Georgia Pacific.. anyway he was a machinist / mechanic / boilermaker and all that and then some.. He pretty much fixed whatever they didn't make parts for anymore. If he needed a part sometimes he'd just have to MAKE it. Well, that's probably why I enjoy watching you so much, brings me back to when my dad and I would fix or build or whatever with machinery. Yessir, men who can do these things are getting harder and harder to find. My brother and I have skills that are in need right now, and the machinists who can operate a lathe and mill by hand are almost long gone. Thank you again, as I always do, for the content!

Short of removing the tank and steam cleaning it, there is no way to stop all that fine rust from clogging the pickup. I had the problem with another truck, and I temporarily solved the problem by draining the rust out, and attaching some magnets to the tank. The temporary fix worked so well, that I never did pull the tank.

I’m talking about even the front brake lines that move with the steering of the front wheels Side to side. saved ALOT OF mONEY and can’t believe how flexible this “new style bendable plyable brake line u don’t have to have the traditional bender to make those bends. I have an F600, and I had exactly the same problem with the fabric covered brake lines. Like you, I bought a 25 foot role of line and got to practice my double flaring skills. My hydrovac booster was also shot, I couldn't find anywhere to have it rebuilt, but because I am not putting the truck on the road, I just bypassed the hydrovac, and am just using the primary master cylinder for brakes for now. I am thinking of putting a vacuum booster on behind the cab mounted master cylinder. That will work great for my needs. A lot of the parts are interchangeable between the FT and the FE engines. The FT engine, has a forged crank, and for racing, we used to have the front of the FT crank turned down to match the damper of the FE engine.

That motor is an FT series, the Industrial version of the FE, It will be a 330, 361 or 391. Not much will interchange with the FE motors. I "think" all of the 391s had 4 barrel carbs, so that one is a 330 or 361, the 330 is by far he most common. They're torquey, slow revving engines, 3500 rpm is about the end of the world. Haha, you've got the same work platform that I bought specifically to work on my 73 F-600 dump truck. It's a life saver on those old medium duty trucks. Cheers buddy! Edit: Well, that's what I get for talking before I watch the whole video, lol. You figured the engine out. Thanks for the great videos.
