I loved this video; it made me nostalgic for the auctions on the US. The books were amazing, and so was that heart pine chest of drawers and that leather stool you got! I wouldn’t have been able to resist the old student primer from 1897! 😊

Oh, believe me.... that primer would have been going home with me. Except that same fella who bought the set of Mark Twain books also got that primer! I was so bummed😞 Thanks so much for watching! I really enjoy your channel!

I've sold twice at that auction about 13 years ago. Mostly the contents of my garage with items belonging to my late husband. Quite an experience! Living now in Goodyear Arizona. That driving rain brought back a lot of memories! Enjoy your channel!

I liked the yard stick and different rulers, I remember the folded up yard sticks, my dad had two of them. It’s a shame about the books! I remember reading Mark Twain books in 6th grade, I believe it was The Adventures of To. sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Aahhh memories. Thank you for taking us with you on your travels, had a lot of fun watching the video! Looking forward to seeing you reupholster the stool Steve got for you. Nice looking stool!

Wow looks so beautiful and sweet.I helped my 7 yr old granddaughter make Valentines deco. for her bedroom.Showed her how to use a glue gun.She loved it.

Some beautiful furniture @ the auction! All those dovetails spell quality. The weather put a damper on your adventure. I would have left also . Good score on the police items for your husband . Thanks for today , haven't been to one in awhile .xox

Hey Hey Cindy, I’ve been to Wilson’s a lot back when I was a dealer in Berlin,Md. Then, I had to liquidate,so back to sell at Wilson’s. I would spend the whole day and evening there, having lunch too. Thanks for bringing back some cool memories.

Cindy, it's so much fun when you take us along to the auction house! The dovetail construction looks very rustic on the dresser drawers. You mentioned it is hand-carved. Does that mean an individual craftsman built the piece, not a furniture manufacturer? I recently purchased a beautiful old dresser with the same dovetail detail. My guess is it was made in the forties.

So glad you enjoy going to the auction with us Karen! The dovetails I showed on those dressers are hand cut by a craftsman not a machine. The craftsmen could have worked as a furniture builder and probably did. Or it could have been made by someone in their workshop. I doubt the latter. Either way those pieces probably date back to the late 1800s or early 1900s. It sounds like you have a valuable piece too!

When it’s a yucky day why not go to a auction LOL. I know exactly how you feel about old/antique furniture I’m the same way. I just picked up an antique washstand commode. Unfortunately someone decided to paint it teal green. So you know what I’m doing, refinishing it back to its original oak n it’s solid oak. No veneer any place on it. Just finished restoring a Martha Washington sewing cabinet that was painted all white. I really didn’t need it as I have restored one years ago but when someone gives it to you you can’t be rude n say no thank you LOL. Sorry Cindy, I got carried away about furniture. That’s too bad about the books. Those were really cool n old. And that Readers Digest , I don’t think I’ve ever seen it in hard cover. I wouldn’t mind having that book. I like the items Steve got. Those leather bullet holders were interesting. I can’t blame him in collecting items related to the police force since he is a retired one. Well I commented long enough. It was fun to going to the auction. We must do it again especially when the weather is better. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟

I want to find one to refresh! I was bummed about the Mark Twain books but I didn't want to spend as much as I think that other fella would have spent. Oh well, there will always be another auction! Have a great time fixing up that washstand!🥰

You make auctions less intimidating. So many beautiful things, especially the furniture! You guys are aging backwards! You shared some healthy eating in another video, can you share what skincare products you like? I was also wondering if you started another bullet journal this yr, if so have you made any changes to your layout or design?

I’m glad to hear we were helpful about the auction! The more you go the less intimidating they are. You have to learn the language and pay close attention to the auctioneer. Thanks for your kind words! We do try to eat healthy I never thought about sharing about my skin care. I’ll try to do that in the future spend the day with me video. And yes, I have started another bullet journal and I’ll try to share that in my next spend the day with me video as well. Thanks so much for asking 😊

We used to live in Aurora Oregon one of the original colonies of Oregon. Anyway every Friday night there was an auction. We went almost every Friday Watching this I could not understand what he was even saying. I heard just mostly mumbling. I do miss going to them
