LET'S GO! Civilization V (yes, 5!) - Byzantium - Ep 1 

Exactly ! With the hyper-micro-managing that the districts in Civ 6 basically demand if you want to use them well at all, I really appreciate the simpler "play as you go"-style of Civ 5 more and more. Religion, tourism and the diplomatic victory are also all pretty interesting.

And the Tech Tree is much more intuitive than Civ VI.

It’s why i still play it all the time! It’s so easy to pick up and go after not playing for months straight.

It's still better end game experience than 6

civ 6 has the civ 5 art style mod but yeah the gameplay difference.

I played the hell out of Civ 5 and I never bought Civ 6. For some reason it didn't really appealed to me. Planning on jumping into Civ 7 tho.

I think it's what civ you got into first. V is easily my favorite and couldn't get into VI as well. Civ IV is amazing as well and close 2nd for me and I know all the vets think IV is the best but V is what got me into the world especially with the court animations.

I only recently got Civ VI and was amazed how many quality of life features were removed. Like when a trade deal runs out, the AI no longer asks for it to be renewed. Why get rid of something so helpful? And the World Congress is truly awful. A total waste of time.

@@pythonkill3r Civ IV was my first one but I think I was still a bit too young to properly understand it :D The biggest thing I loved about that one was the wonder animations!

Beacause they know 5 is the best Civ and they like it!! but next year they will be playing 7..... No matter whatever they say they didin't like 7 and they know it's very similar to 6....and the way they are trying to say good things about the game you can see it's a bit forced if you pay attention!! not to mention they were sponsored to try the game and come to youtube and talk abou Civ 7 to try to generate hype!! Next year they will be "farming" videos for civ 7 for the money and everyone knows that they will be sponsored too to make videos on the game and put it in a "good light",and if you doubt what i am saying just go watch what they did on Humankind lunch and what did say at that time.... it was the same thing....now they don't even care about the game and even are saying that they don't like the game,just go watch spiff and potato livestream that they made a together a couple weeks ago and confirms what i am saying!!

It's like they are degressing, the ones in Civ7 look even worse than the Civ6 ones ...

And they actually interact with the backgrounds and scenery too. Civ 6 and what I have seen of civ 7 diplomacy just seems so simple in comparison and not nearly as interesting.

If I'm playing single player it's going to be with vox populi. It just adds so much to the game to make it more fun and challenging.

Same! Haha! Quill and Marbozir was my guides to civ v. And then I ended up watching more letsplays than I played myself.

I like what they did to them in Vox Populi. Can always found a religion, and Cataphracts are a Knight replacement with 28 combat strength. They don't encounter any trouble at all until they meet Lancers, meaning Byzantium can focus on faith over science in the midgame and still remain competitive if a war breaks out.

Gwendolyn Christie was also in two Star Wars films

My personal biggest dislike with Civ 6 is the district system and _especially_ the fact that wonders need to be placed on tiles. I like wonder spamming in my capital city, and I like not worrying too much about the improvements around it.

@@thepirate4095 Yeah quite a lot of them, including the creative director that won Civ5 the BAFTA award. Quite amazing how Ara is staying a bit under the radar while so many awesome people are working on it.

@@dcoffinh yeah there marketing is very lacking, but Ara:History untold is a Civ-style 4x game but it's more like a deep grand strategy. Feels like a fresh approach to te genre and I think it looks awesome.

It just feels more intuitive to me. Plus, I LOVED the Art Deco design theme. I dunno, I just "got" Civ V in a way I still have never "gotten" VI.

But we won’t talk about the AI in V 😂

lol, civ 6 ai is not much better, just more aggressive, the ai in civ games didn't improve much from civ 4, or even 3, lol

@@thepirate4095 this reminds me of just how appalling Civ5 AI really is, and far too easy even on Emperor

@@illegalsmirf the way they make the ai more difficult in 6 is by just giving cheats to the ai, so really nothing improved at all

@@thepirate4095 this just in vii is going to have incredible ai you just need a 14900ks or a 9950x to run the game.
