I like watching you use older equipment and especially how y’all turned a packer into spreader(spread chemicals). So, what was the issue with the oil? I missed reading all of your message.
Hey mike. Congratulations on the new little tractor driver. Would you mind sometime showing what you do and dont use with your raven screens? I am new to spraying and would like some advice from someone who use the stuff and don't sell them...
Mike i have a question. With your farm how big it is, do you forget where your fields are? do you have some sort of google map with all of your fields ?
I would say more like 50,000 they just got more land recently. All the field are mapped with field view a gps system that keeps track of yield, chemicals applications, and location
Dougo has a pail of water mounted on the front of this tractor to wash the windows on the Larson Farms equipment. You certainly could use some of the moisture that they are having to deal with.
Your hydraulic oil issue I would think is a bad hose tip or coupler o-ring that contacts and seals the tip on the tractor outlet. Oils getting past the tip and flooding the others through the drain line that hooks them all together to catch the oil when you unhook the lines. Partially a guess, as I don’t know Fendts, but seen it on my Deere’s.
In my experience it's Russian roulette for the hands when the cable is used for towing and recovery. Maybe it doesn't fray as often when loosely coiled, seldomly used, and only under a very light static load? 🤷🏼♂ It being dry and not oiled must also be a huge blessing when one forgets their gloves.
Russian Thistle? never heard of that cause we only curse out you Canadians thistle in Ohio.. so I did some research, turns out our term "Tumbleweed" for Russian Thistle in the lower 48 mostly lol.
I feel accomplished. Not only do I have a white Duramax (although it is an 2004) with a diesel tank in the bed ( although it is 100 gallons instead of 200) I also have the exact same Diamond C trailer!
Hopefully you carry a few extra cotter pins with you because when you unhooked the clevis to attach the cables you came very close to dropping the cotter pin down a gopher hole. It's not like you only have a few gopher holes to watch out for. 😂🐀🤣
80 acres/hour! That is phenomenal. We used to drill wheat and plant corn and soybeans, six rows (30 inch on center) at a time and were lucky to get 40 acres done in a day.
cerberus413 Can't remember the exact brand but he buys them in bulk when he is over in Germany. I get the feeling from his previous comments that for various reasons it is not practical to have them shipped so he personally picks them up.
Guess the hydraulics dont like the cold. When I worked at the airport, our equipment hated the cold. Everything would leak every where. Name any fluid and it would leak.
Mike, you don't have to hate cable's when you roll them out instead of pulling them. You get knots when you do the latter. Remember any cable you use roll it out. No knots guaranteed!!!
So, Mike - I have a question: How come you never got your head out of somewhere and buy a GoPro with a harness, so you can use both hands? Other than that, thanks for another fun video. You should try these operations for smaller fields, like our 0.1ha norwegian fields. Count yourself lucky as you can go a few hours on the same field after an operation like this.
@@farmcentralohio Yeah, now that you mention it, I think I've heard it too... But when he complains about how hard it is to film with one hand and work with the otger, I couldn't resist....
@@olenilsen4660 I know, I think the same. It would be easier in a way for him to use a go pro but being in so many places like he is keeping track of things, making sure batteries are charged. It would be to much. I;m lucky if I rember to charge my phone at night lol
@@farmcentralohio there are so many people complaining about go pros though, just turning off randomly, no sound, corrupting cards, etc I don’t believe I have heard mike having that issue with the phone
Mike, If that is the new edge formulation that does 100 Ac per bag you have to set the Valmar to the Avadex setting because the bulk density of the product has changed.
Was the white jackrabbit not a hare? thats what we call a mountain hare here because their coats turn white in winter so that they can hide more easily in the snow on the mountains.
So Mike I have a question, if you’re putting granular chemical down now and you’re in such a windy place, is that the potential for the edge chemical to blow in the dust that the wind carries across the country?
Hi Mike just to let you know if you read this comment tell your subscribers to turn the bell notifications off and then back on because I noticed I have been missing lots of your videos because RU-vid doesn't let me know you have new video posted thanks sorry for any inconvenience
