Add a 'mate' to the end of you saying to Chaple 'good eye', when he was checking the drill, and you've said hello in a very acceptable Aussie accent.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice to see a sprayer video Mike. Not everybody likes them, but as a sprayer mechanic I find them quite interesting. 🧐 About the resonation: Did you built something extra on the cab that the other sprayer has not? A little bit of weight on a stick or bar, can make a lot of difference. And check if there is something broken in the cab suspention.🤓
so that's how you don't spill chemical when uncoupling the hose, why did I never think of that!!!!, you finish loading with just water so the only thing to come out when uncoupling is ... WATER. Thank you for the AH-HA... Duh moment LOL
Why do you use self-propelled sprayers instead of trailed sprayers behind a tractor? Don’t the trailed sprayers have a much higher capacity, allowing for better utilization of the tractors?
They have tried them before but no real advantage of them.. High clearance sprayers are faster, can go through easier and don’t require you to use a tractor for them.Yes it don’t hold as much product but that big pull sprayer has to be filled up anyways just like a high clearance..
With wind, rain, frost it can still take as long to spray the entire crop as it does to seed it at times!! We sat for a week waiting for the wind and cold nights to improve, drills would have continued through all that nonstop!
Whatever you do, don’t hire me to run a spray rig. I would not do well wandering around a thousand acre field in the middle of the night following tracks in the dirt. I would make such an absolute fool out of myself that I would have to move to another country just to escape the shame.
You should go to princess auto and get some strip lights for behind your load level tube's on the sprayers to see your level in the dark. They work mint
Way calmer than me. If that was my hundreds of thousand dollar tractor. I would loose.it in the field. Then call the Case IH dealer before I calmed down, and a tech would be on the way before I got off the phone.
That'll be a far better field after a season or two of your attention. We thought we got better treatment with night spraying, we thought the weeds were more receptive. Love your DASH refill unit and your sprayer's lites! And love the mud puddles on the lane - excellent for down south, ha!
The old house made me curios too old shops and blacksmith tools.( I was born in sask. In1944 and travelled around the world modifying and repairing farm machinery for a good part of my life.
Mike - with JD beginning to offer electric drives (8RX410), which makes surplus energy available (I think 100kw) for trailing implements, will that transform your cart from a dead-weight into a traction assister?
