You should draw old dudes more often- they were wonderful! Man those were some amazing sketch book pages. You have inspired me to draw outside of my comfort zone too- only I would be the opposite to you. Give me an object to paint and I'll happily do it but people & faces & all the body parts = scary as hell!

V & A museum ? I have to admit I'm a bit envious. I'm in France and I'm always amazed when I visit their internet site. About drawing, what I like to do is to take a kneadable rubber, roll it between my hands, then roll it on my sketches to take off the graphite surplus. Then I ink or add the colors. : D It is always a great pleasure to watch your videos, and a great inspiration. Thank you for that !

I do love the final result with the blue ink ! And I think you did well when you decided to draw the visitors of the museum instead of the statues . I mean, that's the beauty of drawing outside, you never know what you are going to draw, and the surprise is when you realise that anything can be an inspiration ! ❤

I went to the Victoria and Albert museum in 2012 when I was in London for a week with my grandma! it was one of my favorite places that I got to visit!

ohhhhh V&A Museum is such an incredible museum!! =D I'm from Brazil and my husband and I spent 30 days in Europe on our honeymoon :DDDD London was the first city we visited and V&A was one of the places I wanted to go.

Agh I'm exactly the same, older people, men & objects (other than flowers and the occasional cat/bat/fox) and I'm instantly rubbish! Definitely found some inspiration through watching this, maybe 2017 will be the year of me moving out of my comfort zone a little more! Thank you!

haha I loved this! V&A is one of my favorite museums because I love objects! I feel so inspired to draw there because I like to draw things and I hate to draw people. It is so funny how everyone is different. You old men are fantastic! Loved them.

Hey, the V&A is basically my favourite museum in London. I love the design/decorative side of it, and I love the fusion of old beautiful things and new and they do awesome non permanent exhibitions, like the David Bowie special exhibition (3 years ago?). On one of my many visits, I saw a room where people could take out old samples of fabric kept in big glass frames, and lean the frame up on a desk and draw the designs that were printed on the fabric. There were desks and chairs and people were working. It was very cute. Maybe next time?

I love how you talked about going out of your comfort zone. for me it is every time to upload a video :D and I love how your sketches turned out with the blue ink. I use blue and black ink all the time, maybe I should give red a try, like you did with blue ;)

Hey Fran! I know you like sketchbooks that don't bleed through the pages with markers, so maybe you should try the Crescent Rendr No Show sketchbooks. They lay flat as well.

hhahahaha me encantó este video. Yo soy igual con los objetos me cuesta mucho dibujarlos, a veces es que los veo tan aburridos que no me entran las ganas de ponerme con ellos. Sobretodo mesas, sillas, armarios, muebles en general, rectangulares sin gracia ninguna. En cambio dibujar caras y expresiones es TAN divertido para mí! jejeje Gracias por tus videos me encantan Fran!!!!!!!! ( Y salud por ese "burping moment" al final xD jajajajajaja )

It's amazing that you took the step and got out of your comfort zone. Your sketches looked amaaaazing!! It's so strange how some subjects are weaknesses to one person while others struggle "less" with it. I would be the one who ends up drawing all the objects in a museum rather than the people. So this does inspire me to break free a little. A quick question - do you color with the markers afterwards? Or do you bring them with you and finish the sketch there? I can't remember if you've mentioned this in a video before or not.

Oh dios mio, yo estube en ese museo hace justo una semana! Quizá hasta coincidimos en dia y me podría haber cruzado contigo °o°. Habia una mini exposicón de Beatrix Potter, la viste? Wow, yo tambien adoro los colerase! Hablo de ellos casi siempre en mis videos :P Creo que te compraré el fancine en etsy. Por cierto dejame decirte que me encanta como hablas ingles, antes de venir a Cambridge, cuando estaba estudiando para el examen de ingles de aceso a la uni, me ponía tus videos, me hacían sentirme mucho más confiada de cara al speaking!
