I live in Orlando. So glad to hear that you got have some steak and shake and enjoyed it. I’m just so sorry you didn’t get the full restaurant experience with waitresses. It was so much better with the waitresses, and old time American diner type experience. Hate to get political, but the minimum wage rate hikes are what drove off the need or affordability of having waitresses in favor of the kiosks. They wanted to help wait staff in restaurants earn more money, and all they did was effectively eliminate their jobs instead!

Steak N Shake is awesome and the burgers and shakes they serve are always delicious, Iv'e never had anything there that I did not like. I'm glad that your family enjoyed It. I wish you could have experienced It in it's glory days before the kiosks and back when they had a full wait staff. a few Steak N Shakes actually still do offer wait service though. If you all loved Steak N Shake then you must try Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers the next time you are here in the US. Freddy's Is very similar to Steak N Shake and the food is good also.
Another convert to Steak n Shake! 😂For us it's one of those undiscovered little gems that many travellers from the UK are unaware of. We have been going to that one for a number of years and never had a bad meal. For the price you pay the quality is unquestionable. Glad you enjoyed it so much. Thank you for posting
Great vid of the whole place and how it works plus food looked great , prices too 0:54 . Only thing we thought was quite clinical looking but as food and price good would defo do !
Thanks Tina. I see what you mean. I think so many restaurants have had that 50s diner decor over the years. We don’t see much of it in the UK so it’s a bit of a novelty for us. Food was excellent though.

I visited Steak n Shake in Tampa back in 2006 a few times while out there, I loved it but there was a waitress serving. It seems it’s changed now and less of a friendly service. But I remember the burger being fantastic, and the fries and milkshake, better than any burger joint from back here in Britain

You need to try and arbys, the one on I drive has gone but there's one on OBT, ( orange blossom trail) look for the big hat, turn right on OBT just before the Florida mall, it's on the right amongst the dealerships..
