Still practicing walking without wobbling. A little tour. I love bimbling around Cathedrals, Minsters, and churches. They are our heritage and history.
54,000 s.f. My goodness, it is breathtaking. I should have known this, but read online that cathedrals functioned as museums before museums existed, guarding our history. You're walking around a church over a thousand years old, something my American mind can hardly take in. Thank you for this video, Ilona. I appreciate seeing the cathedral very much.
Absolutely stunning; the architecture, stained glass and paved flooring. It is fascinating to think of people long gone who worshipped and worked there. I believe that the first site of the cathedral was built nearly a thousand years ago.
Hi Ilona, thank you so much. I absolutely love Lincoln Cathedral its beautiful. Walking up that hill is a bugger though. I love Lincoln, lovely place. Take care xxx
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this video of the Lincoln Cathedral it was marvelous. We’ve never seen it before. Thank you. We love your walks and talks. You are doing a spectacular job. Gini & Larry
What an amazing building. It does look quite drafty tho. Hope you enjoyed your coffee in the cafe. I wonder if monks used to live in it a long time ago? ....as it has cloisters. I will google some history.
Hi, a lovely video of the cathedral. I remember visiting about 50 years ago and being told about the Lincoln imp and I was shown the carving of him in the cathedral, I can’t remember were it was, did you see it and do you know the story of the imp?
