Welcome to this free English lesson about sleep. Unless you work the night shift, most of us sleep at night. It's something that all humans do because it is one of the things that keeps us healthy. An important part of staying alert and energetic is getting a good night's sleep. If you don't, it's hard for you to get done the things you need to get done!
In fact, getting a good night's sleep is a great way to improve your English learning!
In this free English class you'll learn words and phrase like: sleepwalk, lack of sleep, no gumption, yawn, doze, snore, sleep, nap, rest, to fall asleep, to wake up, to get up, snooze, nightmare, dream, insomnia, slumber, and many more!
Thanks for watching this free English lesson about sleep! Have a great day and I hope you sleep well tonight!
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

Thank you Bob the Canadian 🤍❤️🇨🇦 it was a very useful lesson. As for me, I always fall asleep on my left side. There is no chance ever for me to fall asleep in any other position 😅 and very often I sleep like a log 😴 Waiting for more lessons to come! Take care! 💙💛

I am gonna try to practice them in my daily conversation .🤓 I would like to talk about my sleeping routine. To kick off, I am a morning person that I prefer waking up at the crack of dawn. I actually get up around 6 am or 7, I have my breakfast by 8 to gain more energy for exercising. I go out for a brisk walk form 30 minutes a day, and then return home to hit the book. In the middle of the day I spend the afternoon with my family, whereas at night I tend to read a book before hitting the hay. On the weekends, I tend to sleep in until 10 am as I allocate my days off for entertainment, playing, and hanging put with friends and family. I stay up till 2 am sometimes, however, I struggle to fall in sleep quickly the next day. But, I try to set my alarm clock to maintain my morning schedule on Saturday.
