Let's Look At - Train Simulator 2012 [PC] 

This simulator as come along way since 2012. This was the one that started it off for me in train simulation. Still going strong, stronger than TSW in my opinion.

This is one of the things I like about Northernlion. Bad games get humorous videos, but a game that maybe isn't your thing but does what it does well enough, gets a little more respect.

My family works for Norfolk Southern Railroad and well my dad and bro have about 4 more years until they become engineers and drive the trains, they are conductors right now. The only people I could see this being good for are people training to be engineers.... Though I doubt they would want to come home after working a whole shift just to be with trains some more since it is in fact, very stressful work.

whoever is narrating this video is hilarious..LMBO!!! he has the potential to be a host or a narrator..he has the voice for it!

This looks mildly interesting. This game could be a nice relaxing, sunday morning game. But this is coming from someone who adored the cross country trucking simulator we played in grade school.

I've sunk about 10 hours into Railworks (A.K.A Train Simulator 2012) since I picked it up during last year's Christmas sale. I tend to play whilst listening to podcasts or the like, since the gameplay is so low-impact.

God I remember playing this game in 2005, it sucked but at the same time so addicting. Especially when I derailed into a skyscraper

I love microsoft flight simulators, I used to be able to sit for 8 hours flying from L.A. to Boston and similar flights :D

@alibambam 9:35 - the game itself says Train Simulator 2012. So unless you're telling the game it doesn't know its own title, I'd say it's a fair bet that this is Train Simulator.

If you want a really good simulator, play crazybus. trust me, it's the best

It's games like this where nice graphics,backgrounds, skyboxes and the like would make the game better.

i went for 4 years high scool to work on a train station, if i wanted to drive a train i would need to go for another year, train traffic is fucking complicated

Acctually beeing a train on SKyrim WOULD help with walking through the map, and against some of the initional bosses... not sure how it would work against Dragons though...

i'm just waiting for someone to make like a "Extreme Train Simulator" where there's like zombies, vampires and werewolves jumping on the train and trying to derail you :P

There's some pretty crazy, crappy and unnecessary simulators out there, but I'm glad you don't jump on the bandwagon of bashing EVERY game with "simulator" in the title. There definitely IS a place for games like this one. That said ... GO CRASH THAT TRAIN!!

I had a Thomas the Tank Engine game on the Sega Genesis once. It was preeeeeetty much this game, except for children.

What did I learn from railworks 3? Don't gift it to all your friends... I did, and got rewarded with a unicorn raising game. The secret of the magic crystal. Look it up.
