LOVING these!!!! I'm working through all of your older videos. I hope these comments help you as well with the RU-vid algorithms. I have strong language chameleon effect. I can be in a conversation with someone for just a few minutes before my accent changes to theirs. I was at a wedding once and was sitting with an entire table of Ontario Canadians. You would have thought I was born and raised there by the end of the night. Lol.
Young Lady, you continue to amaze me with how you are so creative and such a joy to watch and listen to. You make me feel like I have a say in what you are doing!!!! Thank you for all your hard work and commitment. Blessings from Betty in Ohio.
"Choose wisely, grasshopper" 🦗 I have no Dutch ancestors, but I love hearing about your country. I especially like hearing the Dutch words. I had no idea so many Dutch knew English! I always wondered how you learned it (and so well!) and if your husband spoke it as well. I'm astonished by your knowledge of US pop culture and our idioms and sayings! So many beautiful ones!! Hard to choose my favorite, but either of the birds, or the one with the huge pine tree!
You crack me up woman, sometimes i think you're THE goofiest, funniest papernut i've ever had the pleasure of listening to and binge watching. You just caught me so off guard about Daisy waking up.... i laughed so hard i got a bellyache...thanks i needed that 🤣🤣♥
Thank you, Margareth for the Inspiration. I immediately started create library card pockets yesterday. And as for the Netherlands I highly recommend a visit. As you said, all dutch people speak english some even german and they are very welcoming and friendly. And then there are these beautiful villages!!
Hello Margret, FABULOUS. Love the projects you did today. I want them all!!!!!!! You are such a joy to watch and listen to, Lovie. Love this channel, am catching up on the " older" ones that I haven't seen. Have a wonderful Crafty Wednesday, blessings and hugs from Cape Town. Diana 😊🤗🦊🦊
Thank you so much for your wonderful and helpful videos. I love crafting along with you. The "grasshopper" is actually a different species and here we call them katydids (like the name Katie) -which is probably just as strange as jumping rooster 😂
Dutch speak many languages, and English is mandatory from grade 6. In primary school. We speak those language because... we are a trading nation from ancient times- and if you don't speak the lingo you can't buy or sell. It's purely pragmatic.
I love watching your videos, your accent is very pleasing ❤ I have several Dutch books from a thrift store near me, likely they came from the large community of Hutterites that are in my area. Lots of love all the way from Alberta Canada 😊
OMG, jumping roosters! I think that’s my new saying 😂. I just love these cards, and the way you match them with the pockets. Just makes for a lovely library card! I always enjoy watching your videos because I get so much inspiration and ideas. Thanks! ❤ Tamara
"What is Holland?" "What do you mean, what is it? Its a country right next to Belgium." "No. Thats the Netherlands." "Holland is the Netherlands." "Then who are the Dutch?" 😂 quote from Seinfeld
Yes I remember those series “little Grasshopper” David Carradine was the grasshopper, kun fu star. I’m from Spain so the title was in Spanish of course , but it is the same meaning. The cards came out very pretty
We have 12 provinces (Flevoland is added in the 90s) and Fries is NOT a dialect, it is our official second national language (Rijkstaal). This is why court cases and official paperwork is done bilingual in Friesland.
Now that school is out, many of their libraries are getting rid of books, no longer circulating. I got several to dismember for the pictures, and most still had the pockets in them
I don't know how I missed this one (and the pockets). I love what you did to back the cards - so inspired! I found it impossible to pick a favourite, although the green one with the tree might be it. Take care, Margareth.
Love love your cards - they are so incredibly versatile & love your whole process - gets rid of paper we don’t use & collages are so interesting…. Thank you for sharing ! I now have so many ideas …”for my bits & bobs “ 😀
I have enjoyed watching you create all the pieces in this video so much. You have the perfect eye for composition as you decorated each pocket and card. Your humor makes me smile as you work. Thank you for all you do for us. Your website is so easy to navigate and I appreciate that! Blessings from Betty in Ohio.
Hi Margaret my name is peggy in the USA sometime if your name is Margaret they call you peggy but my name is peggy never understood that. I love watching your video's you make me smile
I liked it when you said you don't use butterflies much, good 😂 They're evil! Just a prettier version of moths, they have no use in this world other than to make me scream the house down, evil I say 😂
lol a tomato dressed up as a strawberry. That made me laugh hard 😂 These are all awesome, and I can’t wait to try my hand at them! Btw, I love how long your videos are:)
15:20 ..... Me yelling at screen *"CUT FROM THE OTHER SIDE!!!"* 15:30 ..... Me 😳 .... "she can hear me....?" 😁😁😁 Ok, I'll continue watching now. 😘 Just gorgeous! I love every single one of them! I think the bird one with the long tail is my favourite. On Etsy, (and eBay, and Amazon, and AliExpress and any other shopping site.... 🙄) when I'm browsing on the sites for bits that catch my eye, instead of jotting them down on a notepad, I put them in my shopping basket on the site. I have no intention of buying each and every item I put in my baskets, (I wish!) but when I have some pennies to spare I'll go through my baskets and buy one or two of the most important. I've got about 20 sets of bedding in my baskets, for example, all in different colours and themes, then I'll choose my least favourite and delete it, etc etc, and I end up with only a definite choice left for when I'm ready to buy. ANYHOO....let me get to my bloody point! 🤭 So, on Etsy, I've got about 50 Digi kits playing the Hokey Cokey in my shopping basket: *Sing along now...* 🎵 I'll keep the Ledgers in, The Roses out, Too many Fussy Cuts - (I hate to cut them out!) Do I really need a Sparkling Winter Wonderland? I'll probably hardly use it I doubt! Ohhh the Basket Hokey Cokey, Choosing really sends me cranky, Hard to pick they're all so lovely, Choice made, card paid, Rah Rah Rah! 🎵 I can't help myself... I digress in the middle of digressing! 😳 Arghhh! So, as I was saying, or trying to 🙄.... I went to Etsy, annoyed by my forgetfulness and muttering angrily to myself: *"FFS I KEEP FORGETTING TRACEY FOX LABELS, GO GRAB SOME FOR THE BASKET BEFORE YOU FORGET AGAIN STUPID WOMAN!!!!"* So there I am mooching, and thinking which sets to choose first, and something about them looks familiar to me...??? 🤔 Turns out I've already got about 6 sets in my basket, of course by LOVE JUNK JOURNALS - Tracey's shop name! 🤣 So I'd forgotten...that I'd remembered! I'm blaming you, I'm seeing labels and numbers everywhere! I can't keep up with my brain thinking of new ways to use labels, and why I'd never realised that a raffle ticket is a piece of art before now?? I turned the calendar to November the other day, and thought, "don't throw out October's page... there's numbers on there!" 😁 Another beautiful, inspiring video my love! You're addictive! You're like Crack! Now there's a compliment you never thought you'd receive! 😂🤣😅😘
@@SevenplazaCreative Awwww! That's lovely! Told ya I'm coming over one day to come hauling with you! 😁 I can't believe the stuff people give to your charity shops! You mentioned that you were surprised by people saying they had Dutch ancestry...? I'd think, in America at least, quite a lot of them would. The Dutch were some of the first to colonise areas over there, you knew that...? New York was originally called New Amsterdam, (🎵 New York, New York, so good they named it twice! 🎵 😁) You're lovely! So sweet and I love your accent. I play around with my words when talking to myself too, to try out different accents. 😁 Now if I could just get my crafts to mimic yours, I'd be thrilled! 😘😘😘
Did you know that 2 more area's in New York originaly had Dutch Names. Harlem used to be Haarlem a rather big city in the Netherlands and Brooklyn used to be Breukelen that is a hard word to pronounce when you are not Dutch ;-)
@@SevenplazaCreative I did not know! Although, now you say that, I'm sure I've seen Haarlem written somewhere before...? Maybe when I visited Holland? But I was only a girl then, and it was still Holland, not The Netherlands at the time.....a long time ago. I came back with a doll in Dutch costume, and a love of both windmills and tulips that still lasts today. (I had costume dolls from every country we went to) So maybe we stayed near or drove near Haarlem...? I can definitely visualise it now you say it. Us Europeans eh? Infiltrated everywhere! 😂😜😘
Ik kijk nu je aflevering Journal Cards for the library card pockets van 11 maanden geleden. Je noemde David Carradine / Kung Fu / little grasshopper. Heerlijk om daar aan terug te denken en terug te gaan in de tijd. Jaren 70. Ik kijk met heel veel plezier naar je tutorials. Dank je wel.
My Great Aunt told me she came to America with her family when she was 5 years old. She's been gone since 1976, but, a very positive force in my childhood. She also spoke of her brother having wooden shoes.
Wonderful. Lots of inspiration. Looking forward to A to Z. It was a lot of fun last year and was introduced to so many talented artists. Thanks as always, it’s fun to see what you come up with.
Made the pockets yesterday so will make the cards today. It’s going to rain later on so off to do my housework now then spend a wonderful afternoon making library cards. Thank you for sharing this with us. 🌹😊🦗
For my collages , I like to tear off those browned edges on the brittle paper, but I hang onto them and use them for stamping on! Great for words & phrases or numbers…..then add back on top of your layers later on!
These cards are so gorgeous, as are the envelopes. I need to go watch the other video now how you put together the envelopes. I am part Dutch and have been to Holland once many years ago. Time to go back again. ☺♥
Hi Margreth, l think I’ve already mentioned this to you in an email…. my parents were from The Netherlands - from Limburg - that place where the thrift shops were ho hum 🤫. They emigrated to Australia in the 1950’s. I love your accent 😊😊😊 Eva sounds delightful when she talks too. Have a beautiful day, Barbara 🇦🇺
Love bohemian crafting too! I belong to her Patreon. With as many videos as you do - you should have a Patreon! You could put 2-3 up on youtube and then like have 2 on Patreon exclusively! $$$
These are very fun. I really like how you used the stamps to make the library cards. Very clever. Very good project. Great way to use our bits and bobs. ❤😊thank you for sharing. I love your jacket it is lovely.
I watched the video of you using an encyclopedia to make ephemera. We don't have one but we do have a few catalogs for Viking cruises 😂🥰 a few hours later I was as sitting in front of a huge pile of beautiful images. Some will be perfect to make fake stamps. (like the ones you made in your video)
Love love love these! I’ve been searching for some nice maybe a bit orangy/rusty red and some deep forest green inks, preferly permanent, do you have any suggestions? That burgundish red you used to stamp the tiny splatters, what is that called?
Loved the pockets. So here we go with the cards. I love when you say yaw. I find myself saying yaw back to you outloud. I guess I need a life lol. Where did you get that label storage book. I love it. You are so very talented. You have so much do dads or bits and baubles of all colors. That helps a lot. You have a special eye for placement
I love your designs and saw an add on you can add to Library cards, look up a Flip it card by Dawn. It makes a card the pulls out and flips it' s self open but stay attached to the Pocket, so you never lose it.
Well I adore your creations but I have a wish... I would like to show us a jj album from the beginning to end and how you decorate with all those lovely creations
Thanks Katerina , I have tried that before . But those videos do not get a lot of views. People want to see different projects everyday and not one project in different parts 😕
zo mooi zijn ze geworden! ik ga er deze week ook een paar proberen te maken...bedankt weer voor je inspiratie! en ik ben benieuwd wat voor een kerstkaart je gaat maken...😘
Such talent displayed, love how they all turned out. Margreth, do you have a list of your favorite supplies? I'm looking for the "Dots stamp". Can you direct me on where to find it? Thanks so much.
