Every time I turn around there’s like 10,000 brand new, overpriced okiefinokie brands at Sephora that just came out of fucking nowhere. It’s weird. Why would I want to pay the price of an established luxury brand for some brand that was just born yesterday?
If you research and plan, these can be great. That said, they really rest on their laurels and these are NOT as fantastic as they once were. I skip the makeup ones cuz they’re all overstock or mini that I can get free.
i literally ordered one yesterday for my sisters birthday and when i went to get one for myself this morning it was sold out😭definitely learned my lesson
Ungrateful? You do realize that there is a business relationship between influencers & brands. And the brand has the upper hand by far. I honestly am trying not to just freak out here, you want the person who sells product (that’s what happens with a large audience, regardless of intent) for far less *salary* money than the ad firms or actors get, to be grateful?!?!?! You hate your money and want false, but positive, reviews? You’re rooting for the brand to make more money???? I’m sorry but you aren’t very nice at all. That’s a horrible outlook, I am sure you are extravagantly wealthy & don’t understand economics for the rest of us, but why are you so viciously anti-consumer? Poverty getting worse won’t bring you more money, our society is destabilizing. Your behavior will result in tents in your own neighborhood eventually.
I got the $90 fragrance set because I wanted burberry goddess and I was interested in all of them (except leila lou, not my style) but didnt want to get full sizes of all of them so it was a perfect value for me 🙌🏽
I love the clean me up kit! The eyeliner surprised me and I really like it. Love the brown mascara, the Saie glowy and the lawless! I think it’s a great deal
Laura, I hope your day going weĺĺ. Re minis...i reel in horror whenever i see these counted as monetary worth. Simply a cash grab by the company to trick you into wanting them. Minis were free trial sized products tossed into your bag to encourage future purchases. That is right FREE. Why are you paying for an item that is supposed to be free?? I wouldn't buy them. I got full size items for less or similar $$$ with a besuty box subscription. Why?Why?Why?? Stop paying and force them to give them away for, yes, FREE. 😊
I work at Sephora so nothing really tempts me anymore and I don’t buy anything from the store. The critiques you make of the products are exactly what my coworkers and I agree upon: A lot of these products simply are not worth it!
You spoke about dry shampoos and I wanted to drop my favorite one Ive ever used, Floof from the brand Billie. Billie is more known for their razor subscription (which is so much less expensive than getting razor heads at the drugstore) but theyve come out with some hair and body products and Floof is amazing. It comes in a silly little ball and its a non-aerosol formula that you sprinkle out of a teeny pinhole. It doesnt take much to absorb oil and get some volume, and theres no smell at all. Some people think you have to squeeze the ball but you dont, and thats a good way to make a mess and waste product. Just shake it on like a salt shaker, and the pinhole is so tiny that you can actually get pretty precise with it. I have backups because I never want to be without it, even though a bottle lasts a long time. Just dropping a rec! Great video, I think Ill have to check out these perfume set-with-voucher situations as I expand my collection.
I agree with you…..that Calliray mascara is awesome! I still get the tiniest bit of flaking, but it’s minuscule compared to nearly every other mascara! TFS! 💜

I love the Tower28 brown mascara, always use a brown eyeliner, and I’ve had my eye on the Saie Supergel in Sunglow for a while so I jumped on the Clean Me Up Kit the other day when I saw it. Feels like a little gift to myself! 😂
So i ordered the clean me up kit now because i was worried it would sell out before the VIB sale. The 3 full sized products make it a no brainer. I wish Sephora would have launched a few other, similarly themed value kits with different products for more variety. You are so lucky that you still get some value sets. Where I live these mini sets are more expensive per ml/gr than the regular price of the products included in the set and there are no vouchers or discounts attached to them.
It looks like good girl description but in the photo it looks like good girl blush I’m like where is the mishap or was the description the mishap? Because either way I’m confused if it’s good girl blush or if it’s good girl cause the photo makes it look like it’s good girl blush that’s in the package.

I hope it’s good girl blush because I would buy that gift that just so I can get a full bottle of good girls/cause I like a good girl blush more than they like the original good girl. Plus good girl blush is more of a spring percent compared to the original.
If anyone wants a perfume set, every once in a while they do have big sample sets available as gift with purchase, so it might be good to wait for one of those to come around. Granted, you wouldn't get a code for a full size bottle that way, but if you're just interested in trying some stuff (especially if you're just getting into perfume like me lol) it could be a good option
Imo, regarding the Haircare Besties kit, & as one w normal to fine hair, this kit is serum and oil-heavy so I have like, NO use for it. The shampoo and dry shampoo are literally the ONLY products id even USE b/c my roots grease after 24 hrs. I don't and CAN'T even USE conditioner, its bad. Lastly.... Ms. Lauren Mae, KUDOS and TY for ur scent knowledge! This is very impressive to me (me likey the citrus, warm and woody) notes in my perfume. (Clinique Happy is my all-time favorite) Keep on keepin' on girlie, stay SAFE! PEACE y'all ✝️ 🇺🇲 ❤️
This video came at the perfect time. I was checking out the clean me up set. only things that stopped me from getting it right away were the saie glow highlighter (don't wear highlighter) and the brown mascara. I have black hair but since you say it's still quite dark... I'm getting the set! Thanks for input.
I do agree with you that it would have been smart and probably more useful for them to do a few different hair type centered sample sets instead of the mixed one. Also, a mascara sample set sounds PERFECT because every time I'm in the market for a mascara I get fear to commit and then don't get anything but I want a new one. This wouls give me a chance to try several
I just got the Clean Me Up yesterday, and it's a great value for me, I'll use them all, but most importantly, I'll use all of the the full size. I got the mascara one, too. I am really thinking about that Vacation fragrance set. I got the Jhag Lust for Sun sample from Ipsy, and I want to get a larger size. It's the first perfume I've gotten compliments on in a while.
The not a perfume by JHG smells to me like a forest at first but settles into what my boyfriend calls “old lady” which is funny bc he loves powdery scents- I don’t notice the old lady-ness but I’ll take his word for it hah- I love it still! It is one that stays around, I love MMMM by them, in 2020 I got sick and my sense of smell disappeared / changed now it smells like playdough to me, but I still love it hah I have lady vengeance by them but it’s too much for me, I can’t describe how it smells as I’ve not worn it in a few years
The only one of these sets that piqued my interest was the last perfume set, but I already own and love Vacation, and many of the scents sound like it, so…Your thoughts, Lauren?
I literally was looking at these yesterday. The mascara one seemed not worth it especially with the "clean" mascaras. So did the skin one. I don't like the "samples" in there.
For the fragrance set with the more full size minis I did purchase that they were cute minis and I’ve wanted good girl blush for awhile it’s only 4 dollars more than the gift set so a small win but I still felt it was worth it
Can you redeem the perfumes or mascaras online somehow ????? I do not have a Sephora around me they took it out of my jcpennys. Because of that I usually skip anything from them because I can't go inside a Sephora anymore. I sure do miss it 💙💛❤💚💜
My grandfather went missing (long long ago & he was abusive & cruel so byeeeee), but every time people compare these two, I think of it. Omg this prob sounds horrible, but it cracks me up. Also, I never met him and he was 78 when he vanished so it’s not as bad as it sounds. But the things he said & did, for real, just evil. Said my mom was a curse (she has a disability) for my grandma being evil (she had a baby at 18 with a WW1 soldier who didn’t make it home & adopted him out to her sister, not exactly a criminal).
Thanks so much for this video! I just so happen to need a new mascara, eyeliner, and (mini) moisturizer! The first value set does give me extra stuff i might or might not need but it’s nice knowing that i paid $35 for 3 things I definitely needed 🥰
the fragrances in the $90 set are tempting, but those mini bottles tend to be dabbers rather than sprays, and that significantly lowers the value for me since I don't find those as usable
Dear Lauren, I’m wondering if you would consider omitting the little “pop!” noise that happens every single time a new product is shown on the screen? From a sensory standpoint, it’s like the opposite of ASMR. It’s like ASMRage. For those who don’t experience a mental malfunction with the repetitive noises, I wonder if it adds value to them? Or could they not be included in future videos? Pretty please? I was so excited about this video, but my brain cannot process these popping noises for long enough to watch the whole thing. Can you only redeem the vouchers at Sephora at Kohls? On the product image that's what it says on the voucher for the mascara set. (Sephora at Kohls near me never has anything in stock.)
