CJ Stroud has had an absurd number of “turnover worthy plays” literally since his first year starting at OSU. Reality is he’s one of the most accurate football throwers on the planet and can throw the ball in tight coverage. Irrelevant stat when discussing CJ Stroud imo
@@Broshmo I’m not sure, good point. I’m just pointing out that he has a pattern of turnover worthy plays year after year yet the actual turnover numbers are extremely low. I just think PFF needs to recalibrate what a “turnover worthy play” is for someone like stroud.
I think turnover worthy play is a great stat because it evaluates the decision making and the throw rather than the result of the play. Actual turnover numbers like interceptions never tell the full story. QBs can get lucky or unlucky when it comes to interceptions and interceptions aren't always the QBs fault.
@@Broshmo and all I’m saying is according to the turnover worthy play stat, CJ has been getting extremely lucky for 3 years straight now. To me that just sounds flawed and many of his tight window extremely accurate throws are being deemed turnover worthy by PFF when nobody but his guy can actually make a play on the ball.
For me it depends on the next few games. I think they’ll keep it tight with the Seahawks, a win vs the Jets as nobody could catch or block, and now a reasonable loss vs the 49ers instead of a 50 burger vs a nothing burger I was expecting before Sundays game. If they do that 6+ games.
I will say both those ints were bad bad throws for Hurts but the first fumble was on Jurgens snapping it early. Not sure what happened on the last fumble. Also when it came to the pass rush, neither team could do anything without slipping and sliding everywhere. Curious to see how it looks this week on an actual nfl field.
