The technique of making stark transitions on the basecoat to later hide it with a contrast paint is ingenious! Definitely stealing that, and trying it out if I win the competition! ^^

You Apex Predator should be on a display in a convention or the webstore page where to buy the model from? I thought of it from what progrees I've seen done on it here. Painting non-metallic is a bit of tricky thing I find it sort of challenging to paint. I've had stopped using edge lines on paldrons of Space Marines and only decided to do wet blending on the raise areas where the sunlight would be on top.

The palette you chose for this was great and I loved how you manipulated all the different types of paint for an even, nicely blended finish. The work on the Smasha Squig and rider was great. Painting the eyes on you minis first is something I really need to try. Thanks Guy

This is a super cool mini! You did a great job. Have you seen the Malisaurus Rex for Malifaux? I also have a Teddy Roosevelt mounted on a velociraptor that has a similar vibe with the feathers. Dinos are so fun to paint!

Well I don't know about using an airbrush, those blends looks bloody ace if you ask me, very impressive. I also like the background music you've chosen for this one, always enjoy a bit of overtone singing :)

I get pumped just watching the rotation of this beast - it's such a great model. I've been stuck on how to tackle the skin (which means not starting the project at all) so this will be helpful (I'm commenting before even watching this). Also, did you record your intro audio in a furnace room? ;D just teasin'. (sounds way better now that I'm at the painting part). Edit - ok, great choice of music.

Wow, that thing is mighty. The colors were inspired on your end--I tend to always go the grim dark color scheme route, so maybe I need to start pushing out of my comfort zone in that realm and trying something outrageously colorful for once. And your narration is always fun because it's so off the cuff. I'm going to have to try out your NMM gold recipe (I made notes of it, even), and stop me if I've asked you this before, but how are you liking your Monument Hobbies brushes? I'm really partial to mine. Pity I killed my Insta back in January, because otherwise I'd hope to win one of these monsters to paint up myself! Good video as usual, Miss Stephanie!

I dig your color scheme dude. If you ever get around to getting a better airbrush check out Grex. I swear by them but kudos for showing everyone a person can get on just fine without one. New to the channel. Subbed for all the fucking purple.

Sounds like me with my airbrush. Keep plugging away. One thing that helped me is thinning more and not pulling all the way back on the trigger. I’m getting better, but still get frustrated.

That model is insane. I'd love to have it in my One Page Rules Saurian army (Seraphon) but the price, ouch. I'm used to printing my stuff prices lol :0)

I used an airbrush for years but you never get the vibrancy you do with hand-[painting...I especially noticed this with lava bases.

How easy was it to assemble? You did a fantastic job on it!
