Do I have to use a ball point pin in black? Can I use a marker or a colorful pen?

Many pens may work but it is important they won't bleed. So fluid inks that soak into the tissue will smear, I guess a marker won't give a crisp image. You can make a test with your pens on a napkin ....

Do you have a time stamp? I made the video several years ago and do not remember what I used on which part of the video. But I can say on every napkin video I ever made I used modpodge OR a similar product, what is basically white glue. Its meant for bookmaking and paper crafts. I hope this helps.

It depends on the technique how you CUT the tissue. If cut with scissors you may see the edge. Cut with a wet brush it's almost invisible. I can make another video if someone asks for it. 😇

To apply any tissue or Paper to a surface you can also use White glue. Maybe you have to add a Small amount of water, but such glue is often Sold for woodworking and should be available everywhere. Let me know if you can make it work. I hope this helps.

@@BaerbelBorn I was about to suggest white glue too, hoping it would work. I couldn't find gel medium either! I'm going to try it soon, fingers crossed!

Update: I have tried it and although the tissue "melted" into the canvas, it left a slightly whitish film. I used a thin layer of tissue but maybe it wasn't thin enough for it to be fully transparent. Maybe it's the canvas? Who knows. The glue (diluted with a bit of water) left no trace whatsoever, a slight shine maybe but that's about it.

I seperate the tissue into its layers before glueing. But I saw that this paricular video uses a different technique, a kind of tracing, what is basically very different. But the two techniques should both work... maybe try a nother glue, I used plenty and some turn out different than others. The availability of products all over the world is a problem I cannot solve, even these days the brands are different. But I hope it will work out for you asap. @@xKirAxIcehearTx

@@bizzo44ify well... as dry as possible. If it is wet, you wont be able to "move" and push to flatten the nakpin during the process. When the paint is not sticky anymore, you are free to go. I hope this helps

No, it was a 4-ply napkin that she separated into one thin layer.

Exactly! Funny, I made an new video for an US based company, it will be published during march. Please look for imagine crafts here on RU-vid, I don't know the exact scheduled date right now but it will be in march. I couldn't use my usual brand of tissue napkins and had to improvise. But it worked. PS: I often missed older comments but my notifications work better now.

PS: I wish I could tell a brand for the napkins, but because I live in Europe it is tricky to know which brands are available worldwide. My favourite is "Fantastisk" from Ikea (Germany) but they may have a different name in other countries. I hope this helps.
