Acrylic/ water-based paint pens are my preferred pens for these mini canvases. A regular water-based marker will not give the permanence that a paint pen does.

Sometimes static will cause a paint pen to pull to "throw" ink. If I'm working on art for my own studio, fuzzy edges don't bother me too much, but if I'm doing work for a client, I'm more likely to work with a brush and paint for more control.

What size are the sharpie markers you used? The come in extra fine, fine, medium, etc. so I was wondering which specific one you used in this video.

In this video I used a medium white Sharpie paint pen, and an extra fine Montana paint pen.

How long do you have to wait for the paint to dry approximately?

The background usually needs to dry 30 minutes or so, but possibly longer depending on how thick your paint goes on.

I know this comment was ages ago but some are usually milky but dry clear. Like eyelash glue. You could try maybe glitter mod podge. Or glitter pva. X

The water-based Sharpies are some of my favorites, but Montana, Molotow, and Posca are other reputable brands!

For painting on glass there are lots of things to use. Depending on the purpose I have used Sharpie paint pens (either oil or water-based) or Uni Posca paint pens.

I do not find that the acrylic paint pens bleed, the oil-based can react and bleed or feather.

I have not tried resin. With acrylic paints, I don’t often need additional sealants.

Sorry I missed your comment before. With acrylic paint, I usually use gesso if a project needs a correction. It’s not the most productive method, but I tend to be more of a “cover it and start again” person, unless I can cover it seamlessly.

I usually have good results with the water-based (acrylic) white. The oil-based white I prefer to use only on glass surfaces.
