How would you do the base too if you wanted to? Do you think like maybe cutting up some fabric and gluing it on to make it look like he's standing on carpet would work? Maybe paint some little blood pools onto it and getting some junk to craft like little broken bottles or something?
@Bread0fHeaven
@Bread0fHeaven 2 года назад
That’s a fantastic idea. The little bits of fabric for the carpet is a really great one. That would work out so well. Yeah you can by all means use small bits to make wooden planks or bottles etc. on ada wong’s base I did print a very small outbreak poster on my normal home printer and then glued it down to the base using modpodge. As for the bases though I’ve pretty much just covered them in citadel technical paint “typhus corrosion” with blood from the “blood from the blood god” bottle. Very simple but quite effective. I would love to see what you do come up with for your bases my friend.

Nice painting job Dan.Couple of questions my friend,if you think these are small try painting the miniatures from Destinies,play havoc with your eyesight.Question 2,what head magnifier do you use?Thanks Andy
@Bread0fHeaven
@Bread0fHeaven 2 года назад
Thank you very much. I’m not sure that I’m built for minis much smaller than these 🤣. I’ve seen a few really cool games that are made up of really tiny 15mm sets and they look amazing but man painting them might be a stretch too far for my terrible eyes. The glasses that I use are simply just a normal cheap £15 set I picked up on Amazon. It’s one of the sets that comes with 5 different magnifying glasses to swap and change in case you need to get even closer to whatever hobbying your doing at the time. Thanks for dropping by my friend. I appreciate the comment and thank you for your support. Hopefully see you on some of my other videos.

Hi Dan thanks for your reply,appreciate it.Yah 15mm,bad,try 1/144 even worse hahaha
@Bread0fHeaven

Wow that sounds insane. You definitely need some good magnification and a steady hand for those 🤣. Best of luck painting that small my friend.

Fell in love with the result. I’ve recently purchased this board game and definitely I want to paint my figures too. I’ve never done this before. I saw you used Vallejo painting. Any beginners pack to achieve some decent results?
@Bread0fHeaven
@Bread0fHeaven 2 года назад
That’s a great question. The Vallejo paints offer a mixture of ways to collect. There are a few great starter sets out there that cover a good amount of colours in a single set or alternatively you can easily collect the colours one by one so that you can build up your specific colour palette for the models you want to paint. Some of the sets I have personally found to be highly useful are: 72.299 - base set for fantasy figures. 70.101 - folkstone basics. Earth tones acrylic set. 70.152 - medieval colours. These are great starter sets with a mixture of very useful colours that you can collect and add individual pints to as your progress. I really hope this helps you to find the right set for you and I hope this helps you to progress and grow with you painting hobby my friend Thank you so much for dropping by, watching and commenting too, I really do appreciate it. If you need any other help then please feel free to ask

Excuse me sir. Do you have a picture when compare with diecast car like hotwheel?
@Bread0fHeaven
@Bread0fHeaven 2 года назад
Unfortunately I do not have a photo next to a car for scaling. These resident evil figures are smaller than warhammer style scaling as they are more like a true 28mm miniature. This means they are a bit more traditional in their scale and size. I think they would be a little bit too big next to a hot wheels car as hot wheels cars are rather small. Scaling cars for war gaming is a complicated process as there are different size models and well as scenery. There’s a great blog on massivevoodoo about scaling the right wives cars for your 28mm gaming and it might be helpful to you. This is a great and in depth view of what size vehicles work well for certain projects. I hope this helps you and I’m sorry I can’t be more directly useful to you on this subject my friend. The link is just below for your convenience. massivevoodoo.blogspot.com/2016/02/tutorial-using-cars-in-28mm-miniature.html?m=1

But what if you don't have the flesh wash? What else can I use?
@Bread0fHeaven
@Bread0fHeaven Год назад
Washes are a large part of making painting models easier. It’s an essential tool to create easy blends and colour transitions without bedding to learn how to blend up the colours from the base up. That being said it is possible to build these colours up from the base coat by using thin layers of the lighter colours to create a similar effect. I’ll have to make a video on how I manage to do it without washes in future. Thanks so much for dropping by my friend.

Hi Dan, I don't care for the movie or the board game but, I do like to watch you paint things.I like the colors and the music is FAB!! Happy New Year buddy
@Bread0fHeaven
@Bread0fHeaven 2 года назад
As always thank you for a nice comment my friend. The music is excellent and it was composed specially for my channel by a very good friend of mine. I know not everything that I paint will suit every player but I do try to add different colours and techniques on my paintings to try and help people to paint more confidently no matter the subject. Sometimes a colour scheme that works well on this board game might be just what someone is looking for on their 40k army and vise-versa. I just love painting different things and challenging myself with models from all different games. As they say “variety is the spice of life”
