You really, really want to do your regional matches early on, your uncle gives you a table that gives you major buffs that stick with a gladiator throughout his lifetime, ex; 500% ability training speed

Surrendering is either your "g" key, or it happens automatically as you lose. I'm inclined to think the former, as at the start of the video in the keyboard config settings there is a key for surrendering.
