I'll be honest, there's more actually talking about the game than I remember in this video. That's a good thing. EDIT: Also, Neversoft made Tony Hawk after this. As in, immediately. They used Bruce Willis in the tech demo of Tony Hawk because they had the model on hand.

The reason Bruce keeps talking like he's addressing someone else is because originally you weren't supposed to play as him. Then he got bored with the project and they had to change it both due to his own demands and their lack of access to him, because you don't say no to Bruce Almighty.
Just so anyone who watches this knows; Bruce Willis was originally meant to be the sidekick (and eventual villain) of this game, speaking continually to the player character, who would've been a modestly-customizable, voiceless goon ala the Tony Hawks' protagonists. That's why his dialogue is weird as shit, the change to him as the MC was late in development.
Soul Reaver, Tombi, Klonoa, Silent Hill, Koudelka, Spyro 1+2, Grandia 1, Legends of Dragoon, Disgaea 1, Alundra 1+2 (2 no where near as good but still fun), Ape Escape, Breath of Fire 3+4, Clock Tower The First Fear, Jade Cocoon, Dark Cloud, Blaze and Blade, Medieval, Pandemonium, Myst, Pac-Man World, Pa Rappa the Rapper, Rayman 1, Theme Park World, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, Metal Gear Solid and Vagrant Story. I know none of these may have been hits for the PS1 but these are games that really stuck with me. :) I also hope I brought back some nice memories for others.
Pulp Fiction is the Breakfast of Champions. I went on a Blind Date with Bruce, and afterwards I had Mortal Thoughts. I saw Bruce 20 meters away. My friend told me he was within Striking Distance, but I'm Nobody's Fool. I ran The Whole Ten Yards to feel like an Alpha Dog. I got pretty sweaty, so I went home for a Billy Bathgate. I got undressed and to my surprise... someone was outside my window! Seriously... Phil Collins. Bruce turned off the lights and said to his wife "The Black Mamba will give you a Gag Reel." The Expendables lined up in front of a Perfect Stranger (Nancy Drew) and asked her to "Lay the Favorite". Surrogates Setup What Just Happened, the Assassination of a High School President. The Astronaut Farmer jumped Over the Hedge on Planet Terror. Unbreakable Bandits Live Free or Die Hard. Fuck. I have not seen any of these movies. Thanks you IMDB.
You know when there's like a movie of someone playing a video game and the game is clearly a mock-up thing that would never be an actual video game?...This is what this game is.
This game feels like the result of a semi-sentient Supercomputer being fed parts of the audio of a Bruce Willis movie canceled halfway through production along with its screenplay and then shitting out the game in an attempt to reach a deeper understanding of movies.
I can see why this is called "Let's Play IMDB". From 7:40 onward, it's a semi-constant torret of movie, TV, and game titles, plus some mixed other things not and then. Can't say as I blame you though. This game is a real _Violent Shit_.
I thought the four horsemen were War, Famine, Death, and PewDiePie. Anyway, the Playstation suffered from being stuck in the early days of console 3D platforming, so a lot of its games didn't age well, but a lot are very fondly remembered, not just Resident Evil and FFVII. You had Silent Hill, Tekken (3), Tomb Raider (2), Symphony of the Night, Abe's Oddysee, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Spider-Man... just off the top of my head. Sure, visually they haven't aged well. Or voice acting wise... or any with tank controls, gameplay wise... but they're still not forgettable!
This would be a good warmup for an Other M longplay, since there are some funny parallels. The perspective and action type, the chatty protagonist, the awkwardly jammed in story, the bizarre utilization of a well-known action icon.

Man, I can't believe I never watched this RP before, I must have been Dumb and Dumber. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that you would have to be Dumb and Dumber To not find this hilarious.
