ABucketOfLard YTube if you believe hard enough....then someone might love you a fraction as much as Ellen loves KOA, which is still better than what most if us mortals will ever experience.
I Bear - Not only did I buy it because of her, I spent ten days straight playing it, and it is now one of my absolute favourite games. Thank you, Ellen. Like, seriously.
well it came out 1 year after skyrim. skyrim had a fan base already 'cos the previous elder scrolls games. same genre as skyrim. wrong timing on that one. ppl are still busy playing skyrim so.. but it is a great game just unfortunate timing on the release.
Nevermind the number of people who've bought the game in the last year or two. I know I'm gonna, once I've had my fill of Spider-Man, AC: Odyssey, RDR2, and Kingdom Hearts 3. So it'll be a while.
@@MARCUSTESS I heard the world/environment feels really empty from this one review. For example apparently there is a lack of NPCs and just general details to the map design. Can you shed some light on this? And if this is true is it still worth playing? Personally I don't like to feel alone in videogames.
@@Rahat2056 That's correct. The world is kinda sub-par. The NPCs are mediocre. However, the concepts in the lore and the combat are really well done. It's still worth it, but if I were you, I would wait for the remaster. :P
They had finally given in. Ellen, Bane of the Niskaru, Lord of the House of Winter, giggled in triumph as the fallen might of OXBOX was laid bare for all to see.
We were referencing a scene from the movie when they're in the Fire Swamp. Wesley is listing the dangers of the Fire Swamp and how they'll overcome them, and then Buttercup says "What about the R.O.U.S.s?" Wesley's response is "Rodents Of Unusual size? I don't think they exist."
123 456 well, besides games like Dragon Age, KoA, the elder scrolls, fable, fallout(minus the magic bit), most RPG games were pretty linear, wasnt really until the addition of open world concepts were we given the ability to really choose how we wanted to play. Most games said here ya go, this is who you are and you're stuck with what we give you.
Luke: "I *love* character creators." Me: I will put in the time to get to know how to play a game that isn't my style *because* it has a good character creator.
The sound you're hearing is the sound of Ellen's excited squeeing. Oh, wait it's stopped. Has she gone supersonic, or has she left this plane of existence with excitement? Answers on a postcard!
Hughes : Yes! we have sussesfully returned a soul to it's body! Orca *writing furiously* : I think there's been a mistake, you don't look like seahorses.
WE DID IT! OXBOX AND LUKE COULD IGNORE ELLEN'S RAMBLING, BUT NOT OUR PERSEVERANCE IN CAMPAIGNING FOR IT. THE MOMENT HAS COME! Jk they probs planned this but let's just pretend we were involved. What we're all REALLY waiting for is mousetrap part two, and they know it!
he is deanery's stormborn, of hous e targaryean, , rightful queen of the and andals and the first men, myhsa, khaleesi of the great grass sea, ruler of meereen, the breaker of chains, and the unburnt.
Rabbit especially when you don't see or hear Jane in any oxtra video. Also we might need to watch our historian friend Andy. He seems to be tied a bit to much to rabbids. Also the last cake Ellen made, only Jane didn't eat it. Hopefully nothing happened to the ingredients before Ellen made the cake
1:22 "I've spoken about it on one of our episodes of Show of the Weekend" That's a funny way of saying "I've spoken about it on nearly every Show of the Weekend", Ellen
I basically bought it because Ellen kept praising it and I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. That was about a week ago, since then I've picked 140 locks, discovered 75 locations, killed over 2,000 enemies and accidentally slain 2 chickens. So far 7/10, definitely not the worst thing I've bought because a girl on the internet told me to.
Yeah sure, *"accidently"* ;) . Just admit it, you wanted to see if you get hanged for doing so, like in skyrim LoL :D #LetEllenContinuePlayingKOA #LetEllenKeepPlayingKOA #letEllenplayKoA
Storyman09 Or at the very least, the female lead, who gets sucked in, next to the kid who's not as nerdy as his high waisted pants wearing friends. (Because 198X)
At last after all this time! Ellen is so happy I can't understand what she is saying. The only sad thing about this is that now there will be no more jokes about Ellen not being allowed to play KoA.
First I must say that I love this and appreciate all you guys do. Now to clear up something, fae are "basically elves" in the way human is a scientific kingdom. As fae is the blanket term for any of the fae folk in the hierarchy (in which elves are about halfway down in, as they are in the greater fae courts in both courts while you have dwarfs on the same level in the summer court and goblins in winter court, tho they are just more well known) this is similar to how humans are part of the animal kingdom along with anything else that can be considered an animal. I am aware this is just a game and you are having fun, and I don't expect you or anyone to have known this. I just feel it is more of a fun thing to learn and the comment of fae being "basically elves" just so happened to inspire me to start the conversation. Keep doing what you do to make all of us smile. ^_^
I think Ellen might be the most excited person the world has ever seen. I think we might have to start saying "The best thing since Kingdoms of Amalur" instead of sliced bread.
The art of Todd McFarlane's art with R.A. Salvatore's storytelling. This game should've sold so much better. So glad you get to post this gameplay Ellen. Way overdue. Interesting bit of fact, my Aunt went to school with R.A. Salvatore. I guess they used to hang out as kids.
The smile on my face when I saw this video was about 0.01% as excited as Ellen's at the start of it. Which is still very very very very very excited, but damn Ellen had an excited smile!
I admit I clicked this vid solely to see Ellen's reaction to playing her favorite RPG. Now I understand why she tries to talked about it in other Outside Xtra vids. It looks really fun.
Some friends in college introduced me to this game. I spent far longer slicing through this beautiful world than I should have. Boy, did this bring me back. Everything was wonderful: the fighting mechanics, the lore, the environments, the skill trees.. Everything was perfect (well, except for the part where I broke the combat by crafting weapons with all %damage boost). I don't usually watch "Let's Plays," but for Amalur (and Ellen), I make an exception.
gotta admit, when this channel started I wan't super keen on it but you guys have gradually won me over with your joviality and lightheartedness. thanks for all the great videos and congrats on 300k views!
So happy this finally happened, and Luke managed to hold his own quite well for a first playthrough. Hopefully this becomes a bit of a mini series like Kippers in Skyrim.
PSA: If you buy Kingdoms of Amalur on the 360 digitally DON'T download the free online pass as well. The game already has it and having both installed will make your XBox crash when you try to start a new game. If you do just go into your system storage and delete "House of Valor," that's what it's labeled as and that will fix the problem.
You guys finally did it!!! I'm so excited for Ellen (and Luke)! I look forward to seeing more of Orca. Lol, you can tell this is Ellen's favorite game when she doesn't even freak out at the first spider. Luke: "Nah, I won't get poisoned." *immediately gets poisoned*
Ellen is literally the reason I pickup up a used copy of kingdoms of amalur a few months ago. I've only played 15-20 hours so far but I really loved what I've played
"Who is this game for? Maybe someone with no internet connection and a hell of a lot of time to kill, so consider this a recommendation if you've just put out a contract on your own life but the hitman's flights been delayed 36 hours and you've already burned your house down" Yahtzee Croshaw on Kingdoms of Amalur- 2012. Or alternatively it's for Ellen!
I'd say that was a reasonably positive review for Zero Punctuation. Given Yahtzee's usual predilections you'd think that he'd see WoW without multiplayer is an upgrade.
Here is what you do to become an Amalur Millionaire. Loot everything and sell nothing. When you have enough levels to make it worth it, respec and pump all skill points into merchant. Sell everything, respec back to your preferred fighting style. Price of respec goes up each time, so if you're not careful, the law of diminishing returns will screw you over. But if you do it right, Cha Ching!
Love this game! I remember that I when I bought the game, the screenshots on the back of the box looked very appealing; more then Skyrim at the time even. After reading a review on the spot, I decided to go for it. Never regretted it!
