Insane that Vox laid Jenna off. Literally a "what the hell are you doing" move. Such a major reason I've been watching stuff on this channel for the last couple years.

Just saw the news about Jenna. Polygon is Jenna, Clayton, Patrick, and Simone as far as I'm concerned. End of an era.

The fact that this is the last time we will see Jenna on overboard is making me screaming crying furious, this is so so unfair and totally undeserved. Thank you for all the amazing content over the years that brought me so much laughter and all the best with wherever you go next Jenna

The Jenna news is so sad. Polygon had an anchor with Griffin, and BDG filled that role when he left, and they haven't really been able to replace him and I feel like they're scrambling a bit. But letting Jenna go isn't going to solve that. Her and Pat are the ones holding down the fort

I just found out Jenna was laid off last year?!? I can't believe it, she's incredibly talented and responsible for some of the most memorable and unique work on the channel. It looks like Polygon is slowly suffocating their video team, like they just gave up after Brian left. It's a shame; I really love y'all's videos, and they've always been their best when all the different members of the team got to bring their particular skillsets together to play and build off one another. I'll admit I'm a bit personally invested here; during lockdown, I spent about 6 weeks stuck on my couch because of an injury, and I basically watched the Overboard playlist on a loop the whole time. I couldn't go outside and no one could visit, so it was just me, Animal Crossing, and the Polygon crew filling in for my regular gaming group, and I really think I would've starting chewing on the furniture if not for you guys. You guys do great work, and, trust me, I have had the time to *really* evaluate it. It sucks that the corporate side doesn't seem to recognize it. I've found Jenna's website and subbed to her channel; I really hope indie work goes well for her. And I hope you guys keep talking about Dark Souls and little-known indie games and absurdly complicated games that require spreadsheets to understand and the craft that goes into even the minutiae of games, even if you end up talking about it somewhere other than Polygon. I don't watch these videos because they've got "Polygon" stamped on them, I watch them because I'm interested in the perspectives and ideas of the people who make them. So good luck, I really hope everything works out for you guys

just read the news that jenna was laid off (kinda late, i know) :( i will miss her hugely. polygon videos have brought me a lot of comfort, especially over the pandemic and a large part of that is attributable to the chemistry and genuine friendship the video producer team shares. i wish all the best for jenna

1. Boo Vox for canning Jenna. 2. My group loves this game. We bought a costume hockey mask for the killer to don whenever it was their turn to reveal, and we play the Friday the 13th soundtrack while playing. It's all about the ambiance. 3. I love playing as the maniac. The last time we played, I had the best turn imaginable where I killed 3 campers in one turn (I don't recall them mentioning this, but the killer gets a free move if they kill somebody and everybody was spread out like a bunch of chinese checkers), and then when escaping the final round I was able to juke the entire group by using the obfuscation token to act like I was going one way and then swimming across the lake. It was exhilarating.

Going to miss Jenna so much, you guys really fucked up

Early on I decided to note some of my favorite moments/captions, and then I got "too" invested and forgot that I was noting down. So here are a few: - Jenna looking at Pat "Daphne" Gill when they moved at the end of that chapter - "[Simone, frenchly] Oui" - "[Pat, trying to peacefully play a game] One." - "because [transitioning effortlessly into JOCK VOICE] I'm "Jack""

Tina just had to suffer through that bunch of goblins, fearing at each second she's sturning more and more in to one of them. That's the real terror behind her eyes when Simone says "pre-vestined".

I am glad you guys brought Xtina into the team. She has a good energy. Clayton will always be my bias though.

The duality of elation and despair from seeing that this episode is out was An Experience. So happy to have a new overboard to rewatch like a million times! But it's also the last of the summer camp saga, and I don't want camp to end 😢

Jenna is a very natural performer in front of the camera. She brings a lot of much needed energy to these videos and is always being herself. Its a real shame that this team was broken up.

Y'know, when BDG left the team I was worried that quality would drop in Overboard. It did NOT, y'all are chaos gremlins and I FEED on this energy.

This reminds me of Scotland Yard, which has the same concept, but no items(other than tickets, your way of movement), and the detectives(campers) are hunting Mr. X(psycho).

I JUST found out Jenna was laid off?? Wtf, I'm so sad. I watched polygon for 3 reasons: Brian, Jenna, and Pat. And to be perfectly candid, Idk if Pat is strong enough to shoulder the entire channel.
