I'm confident that that is not what Geoff meant, if you're referring to around the 8:30 mark. He was watching the other three players' screens (MC Geoff) and said "haven't seen many monsters recently", almost on cue, a creeper scared Gavin and Geoff said "there's one", and after it blew up, poking fun at the fact that it came right after he said there hadn't been any, Geoff said "haven't seen any monsters since that creeper", meaning the one that blew up in Gav's face.

Every Let's play these guys made I recreated with my friends and we'd play after school on my server. Really became a "what we doing tonight?!" type of situation. This one specifically, I put multiple hidden chests for my friends to find to help them and they found NONE of them. They found me, saw I had armour and gave up

In Gavin’s defence, using sand to destroy the lava source block could have been really smart right at the end there, then he could have just kept building up with solid blocks through the hole. In the end, however, Gavin will always be defeated by his incurable need to be Gavin.
