We should probably name some of these rides, suggestions? ➤ Visit my website for my Twitter, Twitch, other channels, specs and more! My Website: jamesturner.yt ➤ Outro Music jtyt.li/2YylKjhC7
talking about the doors failing, Test Track at Epcot has a door that opens like that, and it's made of very stiff styrofoam so that if it were to fail, the car would destroy it without damaging the passangers (probably scare the bejeebers out of them though)
The thing I love about watching a series far after the episodes have come out is that you know most of the bugs will probably have been worked out, and that they’ve added more stuff to the game!
So i understand that you take pride in your creations and you like them to look perfect, but i literally just watched you fiddle with those coaster doors for like half the episode and it drove me CRAZY.
Angie Evalina: I had a massive VHS collection, but cleaning the VHS machine was such a pain. I got $50 bucks on Craigslist for the entire collection plus Sony player. Instantly regretted doing that...
I've been waiting for this series to come back, it's one of my favorites! Maybe you could do another sped up part at the beginning of the next part, where you build the coaster station? Also maybe have some alien/sci-fi animatronics around the que?
wow James, great minds think alike. As you were building the walls around the launch section of the coaster, I thought to myself, it's be cool to have it all pitch black with lights on the wall. Oh and even better, trigger them as the train goes by!! A mere ten seconds after me thinking that, you literally spoke my exact thoughts out loud.
When James wants to make something look good he adds rocks. That's a lot different than he was for roller coaster tycoon 3 where he would do terraforming and trees... wait. No he still does that
I'd rather you do it as a speed build tbh... I understand you doing it on Twitch, but could you then do it as a speed build so those of us who doesn't have Twitch can see it without watching a video that's a few hours long! Love the colour of it though.
I know it's been done before elsewhere, but I'd love to see your take on a Gringotts coaster. It would be a fantastic interior coaster and would fit in well with either a fantasy section or a kid's park.
Don't know if you've already done the livestream, but I really liked what you were doing with the double doors at the end of the coaster. Maybe if you set a trigger for the second of the two doors right in front of where the coaster leaves the station, that could solve your problem. Might also allow you have three trains (1 riding, 1 loading, 1 waiting).
It would be cool if you put a series of the sci-fi doors on the track where it accelerates and then time them so they all just as the car is about to hit them.
You can definitely do a wooden roller coaster in the generic area. But I think it would be awesome if you did a tropical area. Like a jungle area. I don't think I've ever seen you do a tropical area. I could be wrong though. & you could make really cool coasters based off animals or something. Kinda how they did the sting ray coaster at sea world Orlando.
I think the ceiling should be like skylights. Use the clear, glass roofs so they can see the coaster above. Also can you change the color of the actual train? If you can change it to like a dark navy blue. Make the lights inside the launch section light blues, purple, lime greens and yellows.
Remember you can use max/min times to "time" the cars leaving the station of a coaster. So if the launch coaster timing did not work out you could just up the min wait.
I would do a entrance to the sci-fi area where the path changes? Also are you going to keep the Coaster car of the new Coaster red when the rest of the ride is purple and grey? Love this series!
Use the round entrances/exits you used for the monorail station in the scifi area. I think those would look really awesome in the fwa-fwa-fwaaa launcher part.
That coaster needs at least one more block brake -- two would be better -- somewhere near the middle of the course. It's really dumb to have the second train sitting just outside the station waiting for the first one to complete the entire course. The way it is now, you're only increasing operating expenses without improving the ride's actual capacity. The second train is actually hurting, not helping. Having a train sitting idle that long hurts the excitement rating. That track is plenty long enough to have one full train always out on the course while the other one is loading/unloading. The general idea is, with ideally-timed block sections, once a train is dispatched it should never stop moving except to load/unload, or for no more than a couple of seconds at the last block before the station. You want to have one train ready to come in and unload as soon as the current train is dispatched. I have a large wooden coaster that keeps 4 6-car trains moving constantly, handling about 660 guests per month If you want to see an example. You would also be better off with the entrance on the far side of the station, in the center, and the exit on the same side that it is now but centered on the platform. Your queue can then have a more open zigzag underneath the platform until it climbs up the other side to the entrance, giving you more options for placing scenery inside the building. This would also cut the unloading/loading cycle time in half, if not more.
Hey, you can increase the start speed of a coaster when you select the setting of a station! If you do this, the excitement could be increase! (Excuse my English, I'm french..) :)
I absolutely love Futurama! It's not on Brazilian Netflix either. Also, that show was on a while ago, aren't you 20 or something? You must have been a baby when it originally aired. Ownnnnn baby James... lol... I feel old now. Thanks a lot!!! God, I sound bananas....
I'd still love it if you named the coaster that you were working on at the end of this episode 'String Theory' in ode to it being in the sci-fi/science part of the park =9
Do you absolutely need those brakes at the end of the Cloud Runner coaster? I feel like the fact that the coaster takes so long to get back to the station at the end is a big part of the reason it has low excitement. If you get rid of those brakes and shorten up the end bit, I think it will improve the rating.
