Actually most soldiers in the military (at least the US) doesn't get pistol issued, only soldiers with certain rank or if they are specialists.

Yes, but Attrition isn't about the Titans it's about kills. In the first Titanfall I could just run around with the SmartPistol and ONLY kill the AI and I would come first on my team every single time. People get in the Titans because they're cool, but it slows down their rate of killing pretty hardcore.

Jonas E He's not that far off. While Titans are a big mechanic if you kill the pilot they're not really that much of a threat. And the idea of switching to a secondary to finish a kill is a concept used in most shooters since reloading mid fight is higher risk to being shot. That being said, refusing to use. Titan at all is rather foolish. I know other people who don't do it but it's about comfort zone on some levels. Though Jeremy NOT using a Titan isn't as bad as the majority of the group NOT actively using wall running and verticality to their advantage, they're a little to ground based and it's killing them.

Pistols have their place, and in games like BF it's essential in those clutch 1v1 encounters. The problem in Titanfall is that most people that get their Titans stay in them because, well, they are massive mechs that can beat a pilot with a pistol any day of the week. Personally, I think Respawn's decision to make it a choice between an anti-titan weapon and a pistol was BS; it was never a problem in the 1st game, doesn't really make sense to me why they'd make it an issue now.

The amount of time you will be in an extended firefight and need to switch to a sidearm is almost nonexistant since you will either kill them and be able to reload or you are dead, switching to a firearm is only useful in the campaign where you take less damage against worse enemies in higher numbers.

Honestly I didn't agree with him till he said he had the highest score. I have seen people who have a lot of kills but still suck ass on leaderboards

The problem is to do with team contribution. Depending on the gametype, getting more kills does not necessarily mean more points for your team. For example, let's say they're playing a CTF style match. In that kind of match, kills don't matter, only getting the item to your area matters. But Jeremy doesn't lay like that. He is trying to increase the number of kills he gets. Now, that's all well and good in deathmatch-style gametypes, but in CTF and other objective-based gametypes? It becomes little more than a drag on your team. On top of that, even in deathmatch gametypes he's causing problems for the team as a whole, because the single largest threat, in this game, to your teammates is enemy titans. By refusing to take an anti-titan weapon and focusing solely on killing pilots, Jeremy has rendered himself incapable of supporting his team, because he can do little, if anything, to help them against titans. If said titans were relatively rare inside the game, he would probably be fine, but they're fairly common, so he is not fine.

P Vincent The comparison was between playing as pilot or piloting a Titan. That does not exclude leaving your Titan on free-roam... Also - if you're gonna talk shit at least take both pros and cons into consideration. For instance - "one-shotting pilots at range" - ignoring sniper-rifles entirely - you forget to mention that it's also far easier to avoid/to spot a Titan compared to a pilot. Sure - it can one-shot you. But it can't get into a tunnel that's less than 30 feet high... And again - sighting something that's 30 feet high compared to sighting a pilot that's 7 feet high... I think you get the point by now... Not saying you yourself didn't have a point. But you completely ignored the fact that that was just 1 pro without any of the cons...

Definitely not all of it. I think the point the others were trying to make is that taking an anti-titan weapon provides variety to deal with different threats. No AT weapon and you'll have have to run away from the big guys save for trying to rodeo them.

given how frequently you encounter titans(you can get one in a few mins even if you sucked ass and got no kills) + small maps so the titans can actually find you and corner you, Its extremely important to have at least ONE loadout with an Anti-Titan weapon.

Legion, tone, Carbine, and definitely the hemlock are the best in game for sure. Probably hemlock is the best.

The Flatline is pretty good

Jason Antonucci the r201 is ok, BUT the car, while having a little less range has better hip fire and a lot better accuracy. The hemlock is really powerful though

JustAGuy I have had an incredible amount of success with the maglock anti Titan weapon. even if you don't get the kill you get a bunch of percent towards your next titan
