I remember reading Ultimate Spider-Man back in the day and being so excited for the video game, was great. Back then they had the art on like every product, it was everywhere back in the early 2000s. Anybody else remember
MrMaximGameng Damn, that was the best. I replayed most of my childhood spiderman games (Not counting the spider joystick thing that i had, but that was fun :3) Web of Shadows and this was by far the best. If Ultimate Spiderman had the graphics of Web Of Shadows it would be the best.
This is the best spider man game ever made to date.. On this one you actually HAVE TO WEB ONTO SOMETHING to swing! And you can see WHERE IT HOOKED ONTO for it stays after it detaches. Not only that but it can catch onto obstacles. They truly put thought into the web swinging in this game, which they no longer do in the new games..
I like the organic web in certain Spider-Man canons and Web Shooters in others. I like the original movies being organic because it's a superhero movie, and it's more exciting that shooting webs is actually his superpower, not just something anybody could do if Parker lent the shooters to them. But in games like this, that focus more on him being clever.
+omar brooks The comic series has ended so they won't make a new game. It's sad because it was one of the best comic series ever (In my opinion) or at least superheroes. They could remaster it for newer consoles though i think they should do that. It would be awesome to be able to play it with better graphics and better controls. It's not like they can't do it. They have other ps2 games on the PlayStation 4 like GTA 3 and GTA SA and more.

He actually died in both. Except in the original universe, when he died, the "Spider" took over, and he bit the throat out of Morlun, the guy who beat the crap out of him. In the Ultimate universe, he sacrificed himself (accidentally) by crushing the Green Goblin with a truck. The truck exploded and he flew like 30 feet, landed, said some things to his aunt, and died.
Best spidey game I 've ever played. Graphics at that times were outstanding and web swinging was so fluid and realistics. I loved the way I can climb my own webbing while am swinging through NYC. Game mechanics are really nice also playing as Venom is just a icing on the cake. Really nice game.

@captiandrek Well some of the things from Ultimate were in Spectacular, like: 1: Peter and Eddie's parents were partners 2: Kenny "King" Kong exists 3: Kraven got his powers in a similar way to Ultimate Kraven 4: Electro's body was completely covered in electricity 5: Spider-Man was still in High School
that peter parker(hoodie)costume i’ve seen it somewhere in gameboy this game is very old and very forgotten but it’s copy of spiderman return of the sinister six and it’s identical version where you play as peter parker(hoodie) like swinging with haft of his identity in the game the title is still unknown and no one ever heard of it but the one thing i’m sure at is i’ve played it from my gameboy sp and i enjoy it even peter parker is an 8-bit style i remade the style anyways and decided to review this forgotten peter parker in game boy sp because peter parker evolution isn’t complete there is one platform is still missing and it’s gameboy. one more thing the game publisher is LJN neither him doesn’t know that someone edited his game in colors called spiderman return of the sinister six nes if you’re interested in peter parker 8-bit colors it’s white and brown clothes and skin with a white shoes

Both. You unlock Venom after beating the game. You unlock the black suit after completing all the races, fights, collecting the all the tokens and doing small crimes.
Technically Arkham City wasn't a comic book adaptation because the storyline was written exclusively for the game. Going by that logic, Ultimate Spiderman would win by default.
I fully 100%- I'm sick of seeing heroes like Batman or Ironman who rely on technology. There's something really charming about the old notion of a superhero, an ordinary citizen blessed through sheer circumstance with incredible powers. They don't need to be a genius or even want to be a superhero. But now that they have them it's their responsibility. I can never understand why people praise the web shooters so much- yes they're canon but they're entirely redundant if Spiderman has SUPERPOWERS.
My point is that Spider-Man is most well known as using web-shooters. Sure there's some comics and stories out there where they are organic, but those stories aren't what inspired ppvsonicspy's comment. It was the movies (and the movies pretty much didn't base the idea of organic web on some of the comics).
Just finish the game. The Ending is so romantic. Parker ready care about his friend Eddy and MJ really care about him. Best Ending Scene I have seen in a spiderman game. The Setting was freaken great the boss fight even to the last comic script scence was amazing/ultimate..
I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who didn't see it. But Oscorp were breeding the spider that eventually bites Peter Parker and gives him powers. But they were also getting webs from the same spiders they planned on using that Peter took for himself. Lol, Now that I read it I know he wasn't talking about the new one. But that's what I thought at first because my brother had the same problem, why did he get web shooters from Oscorp?
Well, first off it makes more sense not to have organic webs because if he really had it wouldn't been coming out of his hands O.o And there also needs to be a balance in his powers, not too strong but enough to carry his job. Spider-man was created in order for normal people to put themselfs in Parker's shoes, him being a normal guy (or teenager in the ultimate universe). So giving him too much powers would be the bad choice, thus being harder to relate to him. Hope it helps.
Actually ultimate spider-man does die in the comics defending Mary Jane and Aunt May from a bunch of villains who found out he was spider-man. He was replaced by african american/hispanic spider-man: Miles Morales.
Again, read the whole comment. I said it affected his wrists because it surged when it began to take affect, then it slowly spread to other areas of his body. The Human body is symmetrical. In evolution whatever happens to one side happens to the other, and since evolution at it's core is DNA changing, all that happens to Parker is rapid evolution. That's how it could possibly affect both wrists-the brain gives messages to replicate it on the other side.
Don't know what you're talking about, PC version has Beenox logo playing at startup. Treyarch has developed this game for consoles. Beenox has ported this game to PC from consoles. That's it.
@kidparks24 Spectacular wasn't based off of ultimate. It was just another universe that focused on Pete's high school life. Disney (Disney owns Marvel now) is actually making an Ultimate Spider-man show for DisneyXD for this year. Drake Bell is playing Peter/Spidey. It might actually have already started. . . Look it up! :)
@Mr00001jon Yes he can. It's in a comic set right before this game. I can't recall exactly which villain (maybe Lizard), but he's got a shred of costume in his mouth, and the next page is spidey swinging away with his butt showing :D
