Can you tell us what kind of stuff it is that you have to censor? Is it just anything racist/discriminatory stuff that you don't want associated to the company or does RU-vid have guidelines on that stuff I don't know about?
If the day care one was Sandy Hook, they wouldn't have laughed. It's not funny. Do people find the Pulse shooting or the Nice car terrorist attacks funny?
Let's Play Live is a whole 'nother level. It's fucking mind-blowing when you and 1600 other people all yell it at the same time, on cue! It's a really special experience ^w^
Casteverus i did that weird thing where I didn't read the comments till i finished (hey, now) the video, so it doesn't bother- *stares at the cursor* ...
it means the night of broken glass in german and refers to a day when riots broke out in germany targeting the jewish community theres a lot of info about it online
I really hope they play more of this one. It was comical & I was in tears from laughin' so much at the 'Romantic Evening" part; especially, Ryan's answer.XD
Making racist jokes that probably he'd probably regret later. Tbf, if it weren't for RU-vid's policy guidelines and the the very real probability that it would come back to bite them in the future they more than likely wouldn't censor it.
"racist" jokes? Take a fucking reality pill Some Guy. Insensitive and racist aren't synonyms. People need to either buy dictionaries and begin reading them or stop using words they straight up don't understand the meaning of or how to use them appropriately within a given context.
I have a feeling there would be a huge outcry whether they censored it or not. So they probably figured they'd rather simply piss people off by censoring than potentially offending a bunch of people. This whole comments section is just a ton of assholes getting all bent out of shape
trying to watch this and laughing while coughing and hiccuping at the same time to my death when my esophagus explodes eventually worth it get a coughing fit every time i chuckle
ShadowAce37 They have been censoring themselves for years. I think the censor only when it's either something personal or something that could get them some unwanted attention from people who love to be professional victims.
Benis Pald not really. they themselves are of the liberal mind set. they are against open carry laws, and for universal health care. where they stand on other things I haven't gotten to yet but I'm sure there's more on videos i haven't seen yet. professional victims come in all shapes, sizes and backgrounds.
Samuel Doll Honestly, in this video in particular, it's just being a dick to the audience. Both Trevor and Jeremy said while writing that they were going to make answers that they knew couldn't be shown by their channel's standards. They either wanted the video to never come out, or they wanted people to complain. Either way it was a dick move with no entertainment value. Generally though, you're absolutely right.
but for every laugh you have at uncensored content, there are about 40-100 people being offended. so they probably dont want to have their emails filled saying how offended someone was.
actually its the other way around i think, more people are not over sensitive cry babies, its just the small number of people who do get offended over everything are the loudest most vocal minority
its so funny because when i see they censored something i just laugh and wonder what it was, i dont piss my pants and make whiny comments about the "liberals" but maybe that's because im an adult.
I see it like this. Not everyone is overly sensitive, or concerned that people get offended. They can put labels to let viewers know people's feelings might be hurt.
Dillon Haggart That doesn't make sense. The point of censoring it is to keep RT from being associated with potentially taboo jokes. If Trevor really did write Sandy Hook, I understand why RT would censor that. It's still a bit raw and would be understandably offensive to anyone involved with similar things. If there's an uncensored version there's no reason to have a censored version because the point is that the joke never gets out into the public ever.
Bryce Walker Ah, because if somebody gets offended by a Sandy Hook joke it's their fault and should just get over it. It's ok to be offended by things. Just because you're not offended by the same things as someone else doesn't mean they're sensitive or a "little bitch". Everyone has things that offend them. RT understandably doesn't want to associate with certain jokes as it can shine a bad light on their employees and their company. They're a business and certain jokes can go too far for a general audience.
"Make up an ineffective slogan for a pizza restaurant" Man, I wish I had gotten that prompt because I had the perfect response. "We put the P in pizza" Get it? P as in pee...no, just me...okay.
13:31 "I don't wanna piss off like... germans" The best phrase to be said after someone wrote a newsarticle called "german woman learns some jews survived"
I understand the need to censor stuff, cause what flies with a group of pals in an office and what flies to the audience aren't always one in the same. Something that's clearly a joke to everyone present won't always be seen that way when shown to the public. I really wish they'd just not answer with stuff that's so inappropriate they've gotta remove it, though. Especially because they always go "Yeah we're gonna have to redact mine." Like if you know that ahead of time why'd you use it? Like it'd be one thing if, in the heat of the moment it seemed good but in rewatching it they catch it and go "No that's not acceptable," but they almost always know while writing it they can't show it.
