Found this on my recommended, thank you for introducing me to this private server and taking us through it! Def wanna check this out, it looks like a beautiful passion project from some dedicated WoW fans!
Man this is so cool. It gives me the same vibe as when I 1st stepped into the world of Azeroth. The sound is great on my TV and phone. It's great to hear that excitement in your voice. Can't wait to see what the city looks like.
I am very excited for this! There are some really exceptional private servers and Twow is certainly one of them. All with their own takes on a Vanilla+ experience. Twow's goal is to retell the evens after Warcraft III in a way that, in their opinion, is more bases one the original lore. It's going to be fun watching you discover all the original/reworked content ☺
High Elves used to start in Loch Modan with a little storyline about being a refugee caravan - AT was built up during time with some ingame content leading to it, though I wasn't around in that era so not 100% certain. TWoW does a great job of blending original content and using assets from other versions, including their own original music alongside that of various versions from blizzard in a way of making their incarnation of the game that should be commended, though as with any private server it has its ups and downs. I believe the patch that introduced Alah'Thalas also revamped the Horde side goblins at the same time, or perhaps later, so they should have a similar quality of starting experience if you ever decide to explore that side of things.
never thought i'd see the day lol. last time anyone mentioned turtle robert vehemently said no way and shot the idea down. looking forward to turtle wow 2.0!!
@@Mantaur104 The legality of these servers depends on their location, but playing on them is not illegal. Here’s a breakdown: the servers use the free trial client provided by Blizzard and run on custom open server code. As long as these servers don’t charge users, Blizzard hasn't incurred any "damages" in the eyes of the law. It’s a huge grey area and location matters. The legality of running private servers can depend on local laws and enforcement. Some countries may have stricter intellectual property laws and enforcement mechanisms than others. TLDR - It’s generally fine to play on these servers, but, surprisingly, RU-vid hasn’t taken action against content creators, and I hope they don't.
This private server is just awesome, i mean custom starting zone with custom allied race, own music made from proffesionals that feel like they were always in the world of warcraft, balanced vanilla, more interesting world with almost every corner hiding some challenge or interesting side story/quest, turtle wow 2 on the way etc. We dont need anything more, this is it Blizzard! Turtle wow hype Turtle wow hype
That is awesome! Please keep up with this series! I almost shed a tear when I heard the music at 32:37. I don't know why, but I had this strange mix of emotions-nostalgia combined with something refreshing, exciting, and inspirational. I am a game developer myself, and I know from experience that player mods like this are usually made out of true love for the project. In production, you often need to prove to investors that your project can make money, which can sometimes overshadow the passion. I am amazed at the work that has been put into this project; it truly captures the spirit of the original WoW developers and their love for Warcraft lore. P.S. I found this channel by your post on main one
So glad your channel showed up in my recommended! I love this type of content, just relaxed chatting while leveling is really nice to listen along to ❤ Excited to get caught up on what you have posted in this series so far!!
I started watching the channel when you began playing Valheim, and since then, I've become a big fan of the new channel because of the variety of games you play. I'm delighted you didn't abandon it. Turtle WoW seems really interesting, especially with the new High Elves. Blizzard could take some notes here instead of focusing on SoD, which doesn't add anything new to the game.
Omg yay!!!! I’ve been getting caught up on your videos since I was on vacation and just turned on youtube to see this! I never thought I’d see the day you’d do a private server….so dang excited! I legit can’t wait for 2025 TW.
I find your channel through the new update they announced and now follow your LP to determine what to do. I ll follow your journey´s throught the story.
It’s been a while since I have taken the time to watch a recorded series. Honestly been hard to even keep up with the live streams lately. I was hyped to here you were playing Turtle WoW and I can’t wait to carve out time to watch this series even if it means having to cut out other stuff
This looks absolutely awesome. It's classic but fresher new areas, new quests. I soo hope that version 2.0 comes to android. I hope you stick with it for a while will be cool to see what has changed or not elsewhere.
How do you get around the Windows Defender issue, not sure if it is tweaks or fixes but you have to disable windows defender for download and adding it to the TWoW folder, but upon turning it back on it just detects it as malware/virus and deletes it and doesn't let you add it back again after. This is actually was deterred me from getting too deep into TWoW to begin with.
Found this video by recommended on my main page (after I guess watching Asmongold old videos), love the music in the game, the way how you turned it down works perfectly, you sounds absolutely fine =) I really enjoyed this video, excited to watch more parts that come after this one! =) keep up the good work.
Hey rambles.. Big fan of turtle wow, and a viewer of your channel for over a year.. I remember awhile back (however, you probably don't remember) that you said you were skeptical of the private server idea. As a fan and someone who really likes your channel, who wants to see you continue to do well, I just wanted to say thanks for giving private servers a chance.. All the best. 🙂
Happy to see a new video from you :) I've always been tempted by Turtle WoW to try something different. Never got into SoD or anything like that- and by the looks of it, I don't really want to. I've been getting back to playing Classic Era, hoping for a permanent TBC Era, and tinkering with my own solo project for a server (not intended for public just for my own enjoyment). I wonder if I should give this one a try.
I didn't know that the starting zone for High Elves had changed! When I started my HE, we started at the Farstrider Lodge in Loch Modan - and from there we were sent to Elwynn Forest. Turtle WoW is great :)
Love these types of playthroughs. Very happy that i found your channel! Just a small thing: the order of the playlist seems to be in the wrong order - it starts at episode 3.
Just started on Turtle myself. Some QoL addons are needed definitely, but after some tinkering all runs well. I was suprised to see around 5k players in prime time. This is massive for a Pserver. I am sure Blizzard has Turtle on its radar, even more with 2.0. Fingers crossed they keep their eyes closed and let Turtle just do its thing.
I am eager too see turtle wow making their own classic wow in unreal engine! This server is very cool also you asked at the start of the vid where we found/heard of you, well I watch lots of RU-vid gaming videos and RU-vid recommend you for me to watch.
What the...RAMBLES PLAYING TURTLE WOW?! Men...this is so...wow...good luck friend, enjoy this server, the announcement of the new client is getting a lot of attention over Turtle WoW.
just started playing twow after finding out about the unreal engine version. this effectively means they can finally start making real classic+ content. will we finally get to finish the ashbringer quest? here's to hoping 😁
From the 24hr clock (military time) substract 12 from the time for example 1300hrs would be 1pm. So, on your server 2100, you were correct Rambles, it is 9pm.
I found your channel through the glorious YT algorithm. Just popped up in my recommended. :) This zone is gorgeous, but it's horrendous for HC warriors. The mana wyrms can be difficult to see without nameplates, are generally on level or 1 level higher and do ridiculous magic damage so you need to avoid them like the plague.
Unfortunatetly, turtle uses the client from 2005 so its a bit jank/feature incomplete. Thats a big reason they are porting the game to Unreal Engine. There are a lot of addons/client tweaks that can really help the user experience though
wow, they changed the starting place for the high elves. I stopped playing TWOW a year ago, kinda. And to your question: you popped up on my youtube starting page
how you managed to make your screen not to be stretched? i cant get my look nice, there is no 1080 resolution, its fits my monitor but its stretched to f...
Set it to the highest resolution possible, even if you're only on a 1080 monitor, it will act like Render Scaling in the actual WoW client and make everything look better. Also make sure you're running the game from the "WoWFoV.exe, not the WoW.exe
You know you're bored with current WoW when you're at a point where you're looking forward to fan produced Classic+ content. Which ones would be recommended to check out lorewise? Am a fan of Lordaeron, Scholomance and Dark Shire's kinda vibe. Would be intriguing to entertain a hypothetical private server set during the events of Warcraft III.
I’ve played some SoD on my main channel: Robert Rambles , but nothing since phase 3 launch. Not certain whether I’ll be checking out phase 4 to be honest.
