@@varxonstuff3152 But it's not a particularly interesting choice. Unexpected sure, but it's not like the character was interesting enough to stay on anyone's mind until the end of the game.
Watching GamingMagic go on a killing rant complaining about Dogen lying about everything only do exactly like Phoenix Wright and invert his way of thinking with "Why would Dogen lie?" and suddenly figure out EVERYTHING is surreal. Mia Fey would be very proud. Also, this guy's attention to detail is remarkable, to figure out even the time of death offset.
It’s impressive but I kept cracking up at how much he butchered some of the words. Saying dogen with a J sound is odd to me but understandable, but I damn near lost it when he said “Zheng fey” 💀
i love how pixel panthers get to him looking for ages and have a shared moment of "No......" before "WILL POWERS", then they finish going through profiles, then the connection to knightley comes up and they properly realize also hearing them voice his line with the shaggy voice caught me completely off-guard
Damn the GamingMagic realization was impressive af. I mean at that point you're really supposed to be putting the pieces together anyway, but he went way beyond a simple realization into an enormous logic dump.
the perfect cut from Pharaoh going "I should've seen that coming but I didn't" and the very next reaction being him laughing like a maniac at Shiki having the same reaction but way more dramatic
Even a decade later and with the game officially getting localized, it's still amazing how hard this reveal goes. It's the one no one was expecting, and yet the foreshadowing was always hidden in plain sight. It still blows my mind all this time later.
@@diego91577 I watched his play through of the whole Ace Attorney saga and he tends to guess and pick stuff pretty quick while his reactions are genuine so I'm pretty sure his playthroughs are blind.
@@diego91577 if you actually turn your brain on, then yes. And after reading too many Agatha Christie/Conan Doyle books it's likely you would be smarter in deduction and induction.
This is one of my favourite reveals because, you DO get there SOMEHOW. You might get it earlier, but the game guides you very nicely to the answer. I do remember figuring it out a little earlier and being like "?????" e: I admire how the last guy worked it all out, but good god please slow down a bit, it's giving me a headache for someone to talk that fast 😅
Unfortunately the first thing I learnt about this game was the spoiler that "a Simon Keyes clown is the final boss". So even though I couldn't feel the suspense and disbelief of realizing who the mastermind was, I had the other problem of infinitely cringing at every character (especially Edgeworth) mindlessly believing Simon to the death. Somehow me knowing he's the final bad guy made this whole experience 10 times worse, I was like "ARE YOU KIDDIN ME!????" whenever someone supported him xD
Whoa, didn't expect to find you here. I didn't get _fully_ spoiled myself (I actually went in thinking the final boss would be Blaise, and got blindsided by him being the _penultimate_ boss), but I did know ahead of time that Simon was guilty of _something,_ just not exactly what, and similarly got surprised that his introduction was as early as the second case. So, I was able to get _somewhat_ surprised, just not quite as much as if I had gone in knowing nothing. ❤
Aside from the galaxy brain, mastermind Raymond would sure be some shit to behold. He's already a nutcase (respectfully though, we love uncle ray over here) when he isn't instigating multiple murders
if anyone's interested in another great one, Zephyr the Jester just got here! He suspected it was Keyes since the fireworks so his reaction is uniquely fun, he gets SO excited! It's episode 49 of his let's play, 45:28
I loved the reveal actually. Buy damn it Blaise q and a was the best for me this game. Probably cause o like corruption related stuff a bit too much but srsly I realized something was wrong the moment they called put knightly for being dovers son.
The best twist/realization... My 2nd favourite game ever... He is not just the best ace attorney antagonist but the best antagonist in gaming in my opinion, at least as far as I've played
I used to watch his videos, but unfortunately I'm one of the people who sees him as an egotistical crybaby. When you attack the game creators rather than the game they made, you lose all credibility and likability. He has done this on multiple occasions, and if other people can look past it, more power to them. I can't. I will admit he is an incredibly smart guy who is able to make some great strides in logic that genuinely impress me, but if he doesn't like something, there are no depths he won't sink to to tell you that.
It's funny seeing this after playing through the collections and having to figure out the new names because I never played the old translations besides the first case, and even then I forgot most of it.
So I've heared that you're planning on making a part 2, but how many let's players are going to be featured in it, how long will the video be and when will the video be released?
Probably around 4-6 let's players or more if I find more. Video length depends on how many let's players are in the video and length of the reactions. As for release date I'm not sure, been busy as of late. I do plan on making a part 2 at some point though.
Maybe, if someone else hasn't already made a compilation of it. I made this compilation because I saw that there were no reaction compilation videos to the AAI2 mastermind, so I just made one myself. Also because it's my favorite AA twist. I will probably make a part 2 compilation to this twist though.
